Cozy and quirky apartment for 2, convenient for up to 4 guests. Breathtaking 360° views: The Acropolis, the Lycabettus Hill, the National Observatory of Athens and the Saronic Gulf. Ideal location: quiet residential neighborhood and 10 min walk to all major points of interest, including the Acropolis. Pleasant pool and planted roof top terrace: such an escape after a day in the bustling city. Welcoming host/owner: warm and available throughout the stay.

You are visiting a new listing (February 2018) for a property which has earned multiple 5* (five star) reviews under a different host on Tripadvisor since 2015. For 3 subsequent years the property owner, Marianne, has been the physical host, welcoming all visitors, assisting and trying to turn their stay into a warm, comfortable and memorable experience. A privately owned building with 4 apartments and the owner’s home, built in 2005, offers visitors a cordial atmosphere as well as full privacy. The building is continuously being improved at the owner’s attentiveness. Kindly note, that in case of no vacancy or need of an even larger accommodation, guests are kindly asked to also visit another apartment of equal amenities and two much larger ones, in the same building.

One of a kind: For visitors who seek a unique setting apart from an amazing view to the Acropolis. On top of a 7 floor building, probably in the most attractive section of the historical centre of Athens, the area of Thission, this apartment has no equivalent.

The light, the view from glass hutches, the small sizes, the low ceilings, the unique internal layout, the simplicity, the feeling of isolation from the city but still being its observer, characterize the space.

Imagine: a tiny loft apartment surrounded by large glass windows offering a 360° view to the whole of Athens, the mountains that surround it, the Saronic gulf, the imposing Acropolis, the Mount Lycabettus and the beautiful Observatory of Athens. Imagine having all of this beauty with a marvelous swimming pool just beneath your fingertips, at the building’s green roof top terrace. Imagine its freshness and serenity after a day in the bustling city which you’d visit on foot through lovely pedestrian streets that surround the neighborhood. Imagine your host as your discreet ally to your stay simply because Marianne likes to welcome her guests and feels rewarded to see them leave with a happy smile and a sense of relaxation.

The setting:

You enter the apartment through a round staircase which leads to the bedroom and a king size bed. The view of the Acropolis right in front while you will be lying down will probably be the only obstacle to your falling asleep. A door connects the bedroom to a glass coridor which links to an outdoor like bathroom with a rain type shower head and a surprising view to the south part of the city of Athens. Showers will definitely be unforgettable. The miniscule restroom is separate and, mind you, has also got a direct view to the Acropolis. Three small steps lead you down to the living room and small kitchen which provides the essential for a simple meal. A different exit door guides you to an outdoor staircase and the green roof top terrace with the swimming pool which is shared with a few select guests from two more A.U.R.A. apartments, where you’ll be enjoying the warm summer sun and beautiful evenings under the Athenian sky.

A large choice of cafes, traditional taverns and restaurants as well as local shops offer visitors the option to spend time in the neighborhood if they please and acquire the inside knowledge of Athens! The apartment’s location is real close to the major attractions but outside the touristy mass or city noise so even the owner is still often taken by surprise from the calm it offers.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
