The off season is here! The crowds are gone. Now is the perfect time to enjoy Avila Beach! What we can offer you is a spacious apartment with an ocean view. It is located a short walk from the restaurants downtown so you don't have the noise from them but you have the beauty of the beach.
BEAUTIFUL OCEAN VIEW AND A GREAT VALUE IN AVILA BEACH! Do you want to stay in a hotel ROOM or do you want a full sized 2 bedroom apartment with a deck, a fireplace, 2 bedrooms, a full sized 2 car garage and a full sized kitchen which is complete with all the essential kitchen gadgets? And the price is less than to stay at most local hotels. You can't beat staying at our vacation rental.
Come and discover one of the best beaches in California- located in the quaint little town of Avila. The south-facing beach is perfect for lying in the sun or swimming. It is much warmer and less foggy than surrounding beaches. It typically averages a high of 70 degrees most of the year with cooler evenings. Our condo is a short walk to the ocean. The fully furnished unit has a queen bed in each of the 2 bedrooms. There are 2 queen size sofa sleepers in the living room. The living room also has a 3-sided gas fireplace for warmth and ambiance. The television in the living room has a DVD player so bring your favorite movies to watch. There is also a television set located downstairs in one of the bedrooms. Bring your lap top because free wireless Internet is provided. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishware, glasses, pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster oven, blender and everything else we could think of to make your stay pleasant. The private deck has a beautiful ocean view. Sit at the patio table with a glass of wine while you cook your fresh fish on the gas grill.
Avila has 2 public piers for fishing or just an evening stroll. If you like outdoor evenings, bring wood for the fire pit at Port San Luis (less than 2 miles away) for a bonfire. The crowds have not yet discovered all that Avila has to offer. It is a short drive to some of the best wine country in the nation. If you like the excitement of the Pismo dunes, you are not far. If you have a student at Cal Poly, it is a short drive also. From March until Sept., the boardwalk has a fantastic Farmers Market with a live band, many restaurant booths and loads of fun. All the locals eat at Fat Cat's Restaurant (at Port San Luis) or at their booth (at Farmers). You cannot beat the fish tacos!
Come & visit us for a few days or weeks. We offer special rates in winter for longer stays as well as discounts on return stays. The majority of our guests are return vacationers. Bath towels, bed linens and a fully furnished kitchen are all part of the deal. Of course, the beds are made up and ready for sleeping. Our condo is ready for your arrival! Just pack your clothes and personal toiletries and grab some groceries and you are ready for a relaxing vacation. You can book a room at a hotel or have a 1250 sq. ft. apartment. Pets are not allowed as many of our frequent guests have pet allergies and/or asthma. For their well-being and health, we have a no pet policy. Additionally, we are a smoke-free rental.

Owner's reply: To begin, I was completely mislead about the reason for the weekend stay. The contact person throughout the booking process was the wife of this gentleman. Only after the rental was booked and paid for was it learned it was for a bachelor party. I immediately explained that we cater to families and are in no way a "party" rental as we are located in a residential neighborhood. The wife informed me that the guys were not kids and only wanted a quiet weekend. The day following their arrival, I received contact from residents who were shouted at when walking by the rental. I also received numerous complaints from bar patrons who informed me they left the bar early because of the rude and obnoxious behavior of these gentlemen. I contacted one of the men occupying my rental and told him of the complaints I had received. He was never threatened but was informed that the neighbors would not hesitate to contact the authorities if the problems continued. He mentioned to me as he noted above that the group fed the local economy but the local economy does not need to deal with poor behavior that drives the regular patrons away. In over 6 years, we have never had to deal with a situation like this. We have never had neighbors call to complain. We have never been contacted by "locals" who had their peace and quiet disturbed. Avila Beach is a fabulous little town and is full of great people who like to walk to the bar on a Friday evening and listen to the band while they relax with old and new friends. It is very "kick back" and typically everyone gets along. Problems seldom occur in Avila so one disruptive group makes a big impression. We offer a beautiful vacation rental that is perfect for a family stay or a family reunion or a quick getaway or for a multitude of other reasons. Avila is a very peaceful and quiet town- especially in the winter season. More than half or our renters are return renters who visit our rentals numerous times per year and return year after year. We appreciate the renters that respect the town and the people around them.

Owner's reply: We appreciate the response as well as the kind words. Just to clarify, we don't have a basement. It is a 2-story unit and access to the bottom floor (including the full bathroom and both bedrooms) is through the garage on the first floor. The unit is a two story unit with normal entry through the front door on a split between the 2 floors. In other words, when you enter through the front door, you can either choose to go to the downstairs bedroom area or the upstairs living area (kitchen, partial bathroom, living room, deck). We value all of our guests. Our hope is to provide you with a good value for a fantastic vacation. My husband and I are always available for questions or advice or to assist you in any way we can.

Sofa sleepers are usually not the most comfortable places to sleep but we want the experiences of our renters to be as good as possible. - How do damage deposits work?
In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
