Absolutely stunning views over Loch Alsh and Skye, looking all the way down to Loch Nevis. You will be able to see all coastal ships passing by through the narrows. Follow whales and dolphins in the lochs in local glass bottom boats (Kyle and Broadford).

Friendly Highland cows graze in front of your window while you find a cosy place within the three large living areas to read a good book or entertain. Large Plasma TV with Sky and Rangemaster double oven are only a part of the luxury within.

Beautiful oak flooring and tasteful carpeting with Persian rugs and luscious curtains adorn the house and within the three living areas there is a pleasant ambience with a great outlook.
There are three double bedrooms and a cot. A fourth bedroom with twin beds. A portable single bed is also available.

The large sunroom looks onto the one acre of garden and paths within it lead to separate seating areas and outdoor heating. The lawns are well tended and the rose garden well pruned and ready for the season of growth.
The garden has magnificent views over Loch Alsh and amazing variety of wildlife including all sorts of bird life, owls, buzzards,woodpeckers and other local animals such as foxes, pine marten, red and roe deer only feet away from the house.

Very Good

“Excellent accommodation for a large family”

Up to now there have been 23 Excellent reviews, well now there are 24. Booked originally as a week for 5 adults we ended up with a total of 8. However no worries there as there was enough room/space to give the impression that we all had the place to our selves. I still haven't figured out how the owners managed that! As for the location we could not fault it. On a hill overlooking the Loch with a view of the snowcapped mountains on the opposite bank. Darks skies at night which, when the sky cleared, gave an impressive view of the Milky Way. Something I had not seen for quite a few years, almost close enough to touch. As well as the views this cottage had all we needed for our stay. Comfortable and warm as well as quiet and tranquil. On the final night's stay we even had a visit from a local Otter, honestly if the patio doors had been open it would have walked right in and made itself at home. Thing is we only booked for a week, next time we'll make it a fortnight.

“Stunning..... Just stunning”

After a 9 hour drive it was so nice to be met by Tim & Lily and when we got into the house they had already got a nice roaring fire going. House was well equipped and to have a decent washer and dryer was a bonus. There are fabulous walks right on the doorstep, you really don't need to use your car other than getting provisions from the local shops. The accommodation is on a working small holding which was fantastic for our children as they witnessed the birth of a calf literally seconds before we set off for our 9 hour drive home. Definitely recommend this house, plenty of rooms to allow the kids to be in one room and the adults in another.

We had a very warm welcome from Tim and Lilly. The house was very tidy, clean and well furnished; obviously well looked after and loved. There was loads of room for the kids to run around both inside and outside in the very large garden. There is a wood-burning stove in both the lounge and living room which keep the house warm even on cold nights. There is an ample amount of coke to use a fuel and was one of the highlights of our stay tending the fires. Tom and Lilly have a very friendly dog and the kids had a great time playing ball with it in the garden. The views of the loch and mountains from the house are superb. There are lovely woodland walks on the doorstep. The house is very well located; go north towards Plockton, Applecross and Torridon; go east towards Eilean Donan Castle and Kintail; go south towards the wonderfully wild Glenelg peninsula; and of course go west towards Skye. Oh, and there is also a pine marten that visits the garden every evening and it REALLY likes peanut butter. Looking back, I couldn't believe how inexpensive this house was when I compare it to some of the holiday cottages that I have stayed in. Tim and Lilly could charge alot more and it would still be a bargain.

This house is ideal for a large family, or to share with family or friends. It is very spacious, with lots of very comfortable seating, and beds too. The stunning view is its main selling point, when the sun is shining it is to die for! The garden is lovely too, and you will be constantly drawn to the large conservatory to enjoy it. There are lots of lovely places to visit nearby, Eilean Donan castle Plockton and Applecross are picture postcard perfect. Just a short drive and you can hop over the bridge to Skye. Quite a few trips and places to visit for young children too. Plus nice walks on your door step.

“a home from home in a spectacular location”

"What a great week of pleasure and peace we had in this wonderful home. Our girls (7 & 10) loved it to play hide and seek in the lovely gardens. I cant say much about the local restaurants, cause I really enjoyed cooking in the spacious, clean and fully equipped kitchen every night and then having dinner at the round table on the lawn.  We were all amazed by the superb views over to the gloaming slopes of Beinn Sgrithall (the big mountain in the south). My photos don´t do it justice. Even the midges seemed to be gentle these wonderful moments and if not, we used "Smidge" repellent from the Kyle Pharmacy, (the first I found that really works). We say thanks again to the owners for all their kindness and hospitality and will return as soon as possible. ........a family from Hamburg/Germany

This is the best holiday cottage we've ever been in. Myself , my husband, our big dog and (for some of the trip) my dad, sister and 2 young nieces stayed at this house in the first week of May. Weather was glorious and the ever changing views from the house mean you hardly need to leave. My nieces had a ball running round the garden playing hide & seek. Having an additional ground floor bedroom and shower room was great for my elderly dad. We only ate out two nights, preferring to eat outside at the patio table & chairs relaxing and enjoying the view. Even if the weather isn't great, this cottage is so cosy and homely it would not waste the trip - the views would be even more beautiful and dramatic. Plenty to see and do in the area. The owners are lovely, as is their dog Max who regularly visited us. Would highly recommend.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
