Description

Cottage Florestal is set in the National Forest of Barao de Sao Joao. Idyllic and peaceful setting with stunning views and walks in the forest. The Cottage has an open plan ground floor with separate Bathroom and a Mezzanine Bedroom. There is a private Rear Patio area with a table and chairs, sun loungers, BBQ and Parasols.

The cottage is situated above the traditional village of Barao de Sao Joao which is only a 15 min walk through the national forest, it has a few shops which will provide you with essentials and is well known for its bars with live music at weekends. We live in a separate house on the 15 acre property with our 18 year old son and have dogs and a cat, all of which are friendly. We are very lucky to live in a special place along the Algarve and love to share it with others!

“Our ultimate holiday experience”

Cottage Florestal is located in a tranquil & idyllic setting in a perfectly natural environment. Surrounded by the beautiful Barao de Sao Joao wood, bird song is your only sound. It is well-equipped & beautifully furnished & maintained throughout.Karen & John are generous & attentive hosts adding to this totally chilled-out ambience. 'A little piece of heaven in the Western Algarve' just sorry it took us 14 trips in 7 years to find it!

“Forest Seclusion with Sea Views!”

A really nicely converted cottage, open plan layout with a mezzanine floor for the bedroom. Very clean, spacious and well equipped - everything from a coffee machine to Wi-Fi. Location is within a national park, surroundings are peaceful and tranquil. On a clear day, you can just about see the sea. Lagos is a 15 minutes drive away. An added bonus is the Restaurante Florestal which is virtually next door. We went there several times, and the food and quality were consistently very good. All in all, this was a delightful stay, and the owners Karen and John are very friendly and hospitable. So want to come here again!

Cottage Florestal far surpassed our expectations, a really unique property in a beautiful setting with stunning views to nearby Lagos. The cottage is spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. Karen and John went the extra mile to ensure that we made the most of our holiday. Having their restaurant just a few steps from the cottage was an added bonus. If you're looking for somewhere off the beaten track but within easy reach of beautiful beaches and quaint towns, look no further!

How do damage deposits work?

If Karen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
