Enjoy your private wing (two bedrooms, 4-pce bathroom and balcony) in this stunning 2000 sq foot year round executive chalet on Loughborough Lake. 18 km north of Kingston, ON -- with paved roads all the way. (Two hours east of Toronto and 1.5 hours west of Ottawa.) Loughborough Lake is the summer home of many NHL players and movie stars. It offers exceptional water views, fishing, boating, kayaking, and amazing relaxation. I love dogs, so they are welcome but they must be pre-approved, gentle and quiet.

Lovely patio furniture (including dining table) provides outdoor enjoyment. The furniture is positioned comfortably on all exterior decks and under shady trees. You can relax and enjoy the views from any location on this private, serene property.

There are two outdoor fire pits and an horseshoe pits. A sandy beach with large flat rocks is at the front of the home. The north and south sides are bass bays. Fishing from shore is very good. Dock space for two boats is provided.

The main level is shared with the owner and one sweet Jack Russel Terrier. It has a large 17’ x 10’ foyer with floor to ceiling windows, a 1.5 piece bathroom, fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops and walnut cupboards, stainless steel appliances, a beverage nook, a six person breakfast bar and a lovely dining room. The dining tables seats eight comfortably. The living room is stylish and cozy, with satellite and Internet TV, and an airtight wood stove for cooler nights.

Your Space

A long hallway, on the second level, creates privacy and separates the master bedroom (owner occupied) from the two spare bedrooms (8 x 10 and 10 x 10) and their attached private four piece bathroom. This space is perfect for a couple or family of three wanting a relaxing getaway.

One of the bedrooms has a high-end IKEA daybed that pulls out into a very comfortable, firm double bed. The other bedroom has a high-quality trundle bed (i.e. top bed has a pillow-top twin mattress and the bottom bed looks like a set of drawers, but pulls out and contains the second twin mattress/bed). All bedrooms are nicely furnished, have large closets, wifi LED TVs, Roku streaming sticks and balconies, with lovely deck chairs, overlooking the lake.

You can relax and lounge around on the lake on the floating island or go for a paddle in one of the two high end Delta kayaks. Kayaks need to be reserved, but are included in the cost.

Loughborough Marina does boat rentals for a 1/2 day, a day or for your entire stay.

Excellent drinking water comes from the deep well. It is tested Spring and Fall and has always tested pure and bacteria free.

If Hydro One power goes out, the standby generator that is connected to the chalet automatically turns on and powers the entire house. You do not need to worry about power outages.

Included are: Bedding, towels, face clothes, soap, tissue, shampoo, comditioner, blow dryer, bath robes, LTE wifi, Internet LED TVs in all bedrooms, Internet LED TV with Shaw satellite TV on main level and surround sound speakers, Roku streaming sticks, Netflix, home phone with long-distance within Canada, high-end patio furniture, dishes, cutlery, condiments, paper towels, pots and pans, dishwasher, microwave, stainless steel stove, stainless steel fridge with ice maker, Keurig beverage maker, free parking, dock space for two boats, outdoor fire pit, indoor wood stove, horse shoe pit, BBQ, floating island, two Delta kayaks, paddles and life jackets, central heat, central air, hydro, good quality, safe well water, LG all-in-one washer/dryer, keyless entry, and auto on standby generator that powers the entire house in event of power failure.

Bring your boat and park it at my private dock. Boat to Battersea. Visit this historic viallage and enjoy a drink or a meal at The Creekside Bar and Grill or The Holiday Manor. You can kayak there too!

Interaction with guest

I will be on-hand, but will give you your privacy. Resident Jack Russell Terrier is sweet and quiet.

Smoking is permitted outdoors only.

My sweet Jack Russell Terrier is a rescue. He will let you know when he warms up to you, so please ignore him for the first hour or so. He was traumatized before being rescued.

I will consider you bringing your dog, but this must be discussed and pre-approved.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
