Description

We were so lucky to have no damage to our house from Sandy. The beach looks great in North Beach. All of our favorite stores and restaurants are up and running.

This is a duplex at 1079B Long Beach Boulevard, North Beach, which is a 1½-mile section of Long Beach Township, strictly residential, located between Surf City and Harvey Cedars and about 7 miles South of Barnegat Lighthouse.

The house is one house back from ocean, and not on the Boulevard but one house back from it. It's on a private pebble and sandy lane which is not marked on maps.

This is in a very pretty area and is a quick one-minute (or less) walk over the dune to the white sandy beach with lifeguard on duty through Labor Day, sometimes the week after.

It's a cozy, casual, and comfortable house that is approximately 45 years old. It is in a beautiful, safe neighborhood. I have been renting this house out in the summer for many years, with happy tenants coming back for 30 years, 18 years, etc.

Pictures of the house make it appear to be nestled in the woods, but the ocean is steps away. Each floor has a comfortable deck for relaxing and outdoor dining. Lower deck is shaded.

The house is not fancy but is clean and comfortable. It is completely furnished, except for towels, sheets, and pillowcases. Pillows, bedspreads, dishes, pots and pans are included. There are 3 bedrooms, one with a double bed and two with 2 single beds each--sleeping six people comfortably. There is one bathroom with a shower over the tub and there is also an outdoor shower for cleaning off when you come up from the beach.

There is a good-sized living room and a kitchen/dining area. There is CABLE TV. Also WIRELESS Internet Access is provided. (There is no dishwasher or washer and dryer). There are bedroom air conditioners and fans for each bedroom. Simplicity rules! A Laundromat is about a mile away. (We usually wash a couple of things out in the bathtub or sink and hang them on the clothesline!) Pictured is the first floor; second floor is the same layout, but has one queen bed.

There are excellent restaurants both north and south of the house, within a mile. There are bike rental and boat rental facilities nearby. Grocery stores, butcher shops, drugstores, and produce stands are all within a mile or two. Parks with playgrounds are handy. Atlantic City casinos are about 1 hour away.

Check-in time is 2 PM on Saturdays and check-out time is 11 AM on Saturdays; this 3-hour time period allows for thorough cleaning.

Six (6) beach badges are included for your use.

How do damage deposits work?
