Please note: Since this is a room in my home, I need information from you 1st. Let me know the kind of things you'd like to know if someone was staying in your home, like where you're from, purpose of visit, profession, schools, anything you think pertinent. Please send this info with your inquiry- I appreciate it. Remember that any websites, phone #s. etc, won't show up in your inquiry to me. I have a cat, so please keep that in mind also. My home is in a quiet neighborhood about a mile from historic downtown Beaufort, with its charming boardwalk & boat docks, great restaurants & shops (no chains!), & old fashioned homes with rocking chair porches. You're within walking distance of the library, grocery stores & drugstores & only minutes from Atlantic Beach. This is a tourist area, yes, but not crowded like many others. The room I rent has a comfortable queen sized bed, wifi, a bath across the hall & all the conveniences of home! I love to meet new people & you'll have plenty of room in my home to sit in the sunroom or on the porch, ride the bikes I have, or just relax. The Maritime Museum here is wonderful, as well as Ft. Macon & the NC Aquarium. I am usually available to answer questions, since my office is in a building on the property & I have lots of brochures & recommendations if you don't know the area. I do also rent a single room so you may be sharing the bath with one other person, but many times it will just be you. And I'll be happy to work out a rate for the 2 rooms if you need both. I've traveled extensively myself & hosted people for over 4 years. I have great reviews on another site. I hope you will come stay with me! I've met a lot of wonderful folks.

House rules

I do require info about the guests before accepting- where they are from, profession, purpose of visit, etc, Just the kind of thing anyone would want to know before someone stayed in their home! Quiet hours from 9 pm to 9 am. I have a very friendly cat- please don't stay here if you don't like them!

Why can't I call Jane (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jane (the owner) a message.

If Jane (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
