Description

This unique romantic stone built cottage is only a 5 minute drive from the quaint village of Bedar. There are two comfortable bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, one of which is adapted to allow disabled access. The porch has an outdoor area from which one can enjoy incredible views of the Mediterranean, the Cabrera mountains and the whitewashed village of Bedar.

Breakfast, lunch or dinner can be enjoyed from outside lounge or dining sets.

Occupancy for up to 4 adults and 2 children. This cottage is completely private and no sharing of property with owners.

We will organise a beer, wine and water welcome pack for you and fridge filled with ice cubes.

In the pueblo of Bedar you can find four restaurants/bars, a small supermarket and a bakery. Here one can meet with the locals and enjoy wine and tapas in typical Andalusian style and join in regular life music.

There are a number of first class golf courses and the beach is a mere 20 minute drive away. A visit to the enchanted town of Mojacar is essential, and the Saturday market in the town of Vera is also worth a visit.

A perfect place to get away from it all for a relaxing break.

“Tranquil and very relaxing”

The cottage is located near to Bedar, down 2Km of windy but tarmacked road. There are other houses dotted about but the ones that you can see from the cottage are over 100m away and it is near the end of the road with only a couple more properties beyond it, so the location felt private. The pool and sun beds are on the opposite side of the cottage to the road and were very secluded. Often there was no other human sounds around. The views from the property are amazing; hills in one direction and the sea in the other. We spent some days on the beach; mostly at Garrucha and Vera Playa (clothes optional) which were each about 30 minutes away and we also travelled around the Cabo de Gata national park (San Jose was about an hour away) The property had everything we needed, and we ended up eating in most evenings as it was so relaxing. It was particularly hot for some of the time we stayed so we were grateful for the air conditioning in the bedroom and occasionally in the living room. There were plenty of towels and bed linen etc. We had a lovely fortnight at the cottage and would recommend it to anyone who likes a get away from it all holiday that is not too remote.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Peter (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
