Located on the water of scenic Bonne Bay Pond in Western Newfoundland.

Hatfield House is proud to offer 3 bedrooms, 1 and 1/2 bathrooms

Open concept living room, dining room and kitchen that includes dishes, cutlery , utensils, pots, pans, bowls, kettle, 12 cup coffee pot with filters, 4 slice toaster, microwave and more. As well as tea, coffee, sugar, can milk, salt and pepper, flour, cooking oil, etc.

High speed internet, Clear cell reception

Electric and wood heat, plus a backup generator

Approved septic system and Artesian Well

Getting around

Getting around by vehicle is the best way. Bicycles are also fun on our mountain roads.

Interaction with guest

Hatfield House is a duplex with a shared mud room and separate entrances. You will be staying in cabin B. I will greet you when you arrive and show you around the cabin (ie light switches, fire escape plan, etc) Cabin A is where I will be. You may see me coming and going but for the most part you will have your privacy.If you need anything just knock on the door or ring the door bell.

House rules

Smoking is permitted outside and on the patios, please use buckets for your butts.
Only small pets please, under 50 LBS
No refunds will be given for storms or late arrivals. Gravel driveways are well maintained. We do not refund due to road conditions.
Hang all your wet gear in the mud room - the area near the woodstove until it is dried and you can leave your helmets on the tree if you want.
DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper! We are on a septic system.

Steps from Gros Mourne, hiking, exploring, and water activities. And the house becomes a snow mobile destination in winter! This would be a wonderful place for anyone to visit all year around!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Andrea (the owner) a message.

If Andrea (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
