Like beautiful beaches, crystal clear sea and night life but also hiking, jogging, rafting and the intact river swimming? Want to taste excellent fish but also some Dalmatian meat specialties? From our house at village Zadvarje you can have it all!

The Space

Our house can fit up to 10 people. There are kitchen and the living rooom, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen and the living room are on the ground floor and bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs. In the first bedroom there are one single and one double bed. The second bedroom has two double beds and the third bedroom has one double bed. In the living room there is one sofa bed that can be slept on. There is a small yard in front of the house and a large terrace upstairs. In front of the house there are two parking places and behind two more.

Guest Access

The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a dishwasher and, besides electric, an extra wood stove. The bathrooms are also fully equipped and we will provide you with clean bed sheets, towels, hair dryer and toiletries. There is a wireless internet, cable TV and radio. The western bedroom is equipped with air condition.

We live in the city of Split and can be in Zadvarje in half an hour, or we can send some of our friends from Zadvarje to help you out with anything you might need :)

The Neighborhood Overview

Zadvarje is located about 50 km NE from the capital of the county Split and it has only 200 inhabitants. It has its own part of a coast line as municipality, while Cetina River carved its large canyon next to the village itself. Zadvarje is the gate to the coastal area and the Cetina River, located above the gorge, with great torrents of the Gubavica. It played significant role in history of the area. There are still remainings of the Turks fortress from the16th century when they took control over Dubci and the Cetina river area.

In our charming little village you will find everything you need for basic living: small family market for groceries, authentic Dalmatian taverns serving Dalmatian smoked ham, cheese, bread, a traditional Dalmatian cuisine, local wine, brandy-walnut and cherry, small cafe bars… Every Tuesday there is a local fair where all kinds of animals are sold, along with handmade artifacts, clothes, tools, food etc...

Cetina river has been flowing for thousands of years and thus creating mystical shapes in its bed. The crystal clear water, river suitable for swimming offers a true experience of untouched nature with its cliffs up to 180 meters high, waterfalls, lakes, subterranean tunnels and 50 meters high waterfall Gubavica making it ideal for rafting and canyoning. The surrounding area is perfect for activity enthusiasts to enjoy hiking, jogging or cycling. Unique combination of Cetina river, National park Biokovo mountains and vicinity of the Adriatic sea makes Zadvarje perfect for all kinds of vacations :)

Getting around

Our house is right in the center of the village. The nearest restaurant is only 20 meters away and the small market about 100 meters. The Riviera center town of Makarska is only 25 km and the picturesque town of Omiš is only 28 km away. The most beautiful pebble beach of the Adriatic coast – Brela is only 12 km away :)

Other Things to Note

During summer heats it is much more comfortable to sleep in Zadvarje than in some apartment right on the coast. It is cooler during nights and the stone house walls usually make the use of air-conditioning unnecessary ;)

If you wish we can organize meals for you in the nearby restaurant as well :)
