Very Good

“We couldn't have asked for more!”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2017

Ashaig House - so comfortable to relax in after a day's activities. Well equipped with everything we needed and more! Wonderful to have the luxury of 3 showers and a bath! Even a second sitting room for anyone needing to keep up with the news! Spoilt, that's what we've been!

“Fantastic house”

Reviewed 11 May 2017

I visited with 3 friends and we loved the house, the facilities and the location. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything you could need and separate utility room. There were 2 sitting rooms one with tv and so plenty space for larger groups. John kindly left a nice bottle of wine and some milk in the fridge both appreciated. I would love to return to skye and would definitely recommend ashaig house as a great place to stay.

Fantastic stay in this house, which is very cosy, comfortable, quiet and in a marvelous part of scotland. A fantastic view from the house. The owner is very friendly.

beautiful and cosy cottage, at a fantastic and breathtaking location, close to the bridge. Fully equipped, very comfy, piano was a bonus. having 3 bathrooms was great too, so there was no rush in the morning. I'd definitely choose to stay here if i was going to skye again.

“Perfect spot with amazing views”

Reviewed 17 Jun 2014

I have already recommended this place to several friends, it is such a perfect place to stay. The views from the house are stunning and the large window area with plenty of seating and long, light evenings meant it was idyllic just sitting and watching the tide going in and out and the sun setting over the mountains. The house is further back from the beach than I had anticipated - and through a field with a bull in it! - and the beach disappears at high tide. But even then, the kids had a wonderful time running around on the grass and throwing stones into the sea. There is plenty to do on Skye, but it was nice to make time just to mooch around the house and beach. The house is very comfortable, with everything you need for a short stay, a well appointed kitchen and comfy beds.

“A diamond of a place”

Reviewed 10 May 2014

The reaction from my kids within a few minutes of arriving after a long wet and windy drive to find Ashaig House looking out onto a beautiful scorched red evening sky and seascape best sums up my feedback. "Thanks dad for booking this place - we love it, and we love you!" Everything was great and the small touches really made a big difference from the welcome bottle of wine, milk in the fridge and washing up liquid already provided. And the kitchen had every utensil you could wish for. The house was a great size for the 4 of us (me, wife & 2 kids - 11 & 12 years old). The kids shared a room upstairs with the other room downstairs being used as a dumping ground. The TV room was only used once in our week long stay as the best part of the house was the front room with its big window looking out to sea. Perfect for playing board games with the kids, or sipping a glass of wine while watching the sun go down. The house while isolated, was within walking distance to the nearest town of Broadford which you could access along a nice scenic off road path. The nearby beach was a treat when the tide retreated and was perfect for a walk along to blow away the cobwebs. While it's a fairly long drive to Portree and the attractions in the north such as Kilt Rocks and the Fairy Pools, the island of Skye has plenty to offer and the views are fantastic along the journey so we didn't mind exploring something new each day. Blessed with fairly decent weather, we found Ashaig House a perfect place to base ourselves. Thoroughly recommended.

“Great place”

Ashaig House is a perfect place (base camp) for those visiting Isle of Skye. It's well located, with all facilities and a AMAZING landscape view. By the way, the house is really new. I recommend this place if you are looking for something good and comfortable.

“An excellent property”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable property. Warm and welcoming with some really amazing views from the large lounge window. Would recommend it to anyone visiting the Isle of Skye

“spectacular views from a very comfortable house”

Reviewed 21 Jan 2013

A beautiful beach lies just in front of the house looking out to one of the best views in the world. The swimming is great( I would imagine if I was just a bit hardier) and there are facilities near at hand in Broadford just up the road. The house has a well kitted out kitchen comfortable lounge and the bedrooms have all you need with good beds and on suite facilities.
