Description

Casita La Mimosa is a pretty purpose-built Casita with a private swimming pool set in beautiful grounds located adjacent to the main house on a 2000 meter sq. plot. Entrance to the Casita and main house is from the Camino (country lane) via electronic gates into a large driveway, with ample shaded, secure parking and privacy. The Casita and main house are separated by a pretty trellis covered with climbing blackberry vine, grapevine, and other flowers. The casita has 2 bedrooms one with a double bed and the other with twin beds. Both rooms have their own bathroom. The main bedroom is en-suite. The main bedroom faces one side of the Casita and the view is directly our orchard, which has a variety of trees including almond trees, olive trees, plum, apples, apricot, fig, and other fruit trees. The second bedroom faces the garden and pool and again is very private. Both rooms are very bright and sunny. There is a lounge/kitchen diner which is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, electric cooker, microwave, and ample utensils. Two large and very comfortable sofas, a table for four, a TV with both Spanish and UK channels. There are many books, games, videos and CD's in the casita for your use. The casita is very comfortable, clean and well maintained. Visitors have access to all the grounds in front of and to the side of the casita which consists of a 9 x 4 enclosed and safe, swimming pool with plenty of space for sitting, sunbathing and relaxing. To the side of the casita is a large pergola with a table and 4 chairs and retracting canvas roof cover and side panel. There is also an external shower for the swimming pool and an outside toilet with washbasin, just for your use. The area around the pool has been landscaped and planted with bright and beautiful flowers (seasonal) and some beautiful trees. The owners live on-site and do tend to the grounds and the swimming pool but every effort is made to do these jobs when our visitors are not in the garden or pool to cause as little disruption as possible. However, there are occasions when we have to water the plants and tend to the pool even when our visitors are there but, we try to be as discreet as possible, respecting our visitors' privacy. This is the countryside and therefore, we ask our visitors to please respect our grounds and to put unwanted food items and litter in the appropriate bins provided and not litter the ground. If you need anything you are very welcome to ask us first.

Getting around

We would recommend our visitors rent a hire car at their arrival airport for the duration of their holiday as, during the summer months, it is not advisable to walk into the centre of town or anywhere too far, due to the high temperatures. It is quite possible to get around in the cooler months without a car, especially if you enjoy walking, however, we have 4 bicycles which can be hired and we are always happy to drop guests into town whenever we are going there or pick them up if we are in town at the same time. We also have a taxi service in the Town. There is a good bus service which travels between Caravaca de la Cruz and Central Murcia daily. It's a great way to see a little more of some of the towns and villages along the route.

Interaction with guest

As we live on-site and we are here to greet our visitors and to welcome them to their holiday home and beautiful Bullas. We respect our visitor's privacy and during their stay, they know we are here and can call on us for help or advice at any time but know that their space is private to them. We try to tend to the swimming pool and garden/grounds when our visitors are out but in any event, we always explained our routine to our visitors from day one. Mainly, however, most of our visitors like to spend a little time chatting with us, finding out about all manner of things from local walks, best areas/towns to visit, the nicest restaurant to gathering information about local events and fiestas during their stay.

No bathroom towels to be taken outside. Please use pool towels provided

We have not long come back from spending two weeks at the Casita and nothing I can say can explain how much we enjoyed our stay. Donna and Nigel made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. The Casita itself was spotlessly clean which is always a worry when you go away but we could not find fault with anand ything and everything you need is catered for. The pool and the gardens were amazing and again spotlessly clean. The welcome pack was really appreciated with some amazing fresh bread and red wine which we continued to purchase all throughout our stay from the bakery recommended by Donna and Nigel. There is plenty of seating in the beautiful garden so you are not restricted to one area. Donna and Nigel are just the best hosts, they are on site but leave you to your own devices and are attentive but never intrusive and are always on hand to lend helpful advice on bars, restaurants, markets etc in local and surrounding areas. If I could rate the property and the friendliness of Donna and Nigel it would be 100/100. Thank you again for such a wonderful time and allowing us to share such your a beautiful Casita and gardens xxxxxxxx

Thanks for your honesty and for being as observant! You guys were truly lovely guests and we enjoyed your company very much and it was nice to have people who love and respect their space which you two really did. We were so concerned as you had the worst weather every ... but thankfully there was sun after the rain! Thank you for leaving the place so clean too... not everyone is as nice! We try very hard to give people their privacy and space, after-all it is your holiday not ours and we also work hard at keeping the casita, pool, grounds and surrounding areas as clean as possible. I can be very critical of places I have stayed at so, I would hate to think that I was no better. We do listen to our visitors and each year we make some improvements so that neither Casita, pool or garden becomes old looking and unloved. We love it here in Bullas and our home and just want to share it with beautiful people like yourselves so, thank you for such a wonderful review. We hope to see you here again one day. From the booking, to our arrival and throughout out stay, both Donna and Nigel went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at ease. Their extensive knowledge of the area and suggested activities were very helpful. The casita is immaculate and has everything you need. There is plenty of outside space, including an amazing pool (the highlight of our 3 year old sons holiday) Would definitely recommend.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Donna (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
