Description

The Tree House is owned and operated by Albert's Lodge at Mt. Mitchell. Nestled in a mountain valley a midst the Pisgah National Forest, the Tree House is the perfect location for all your western North Carolina mountain adventures. This cottage is a 2 bedroom, elevated Deltec round house with a second level open deck that gives the impression of being in an actual tree house. The ceiling to floor windows surround the entire cottage for a wide open panoramic view of the woods.

Inside you can relax next to the fireplace after a long day of hiking, biking, fishing or just traveling along the Blue Ridge Parkway which is only 5 minutes away. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils you'll need for your cooking pleasure and there are 2 restaurants within walking distance should you not want to cook (May 1st - Oct. 31st). The master bedroom has a queen size bed with a private bathroom and the second bedroom has 2 twin beds. The living room sofa converts into a queen size bed.

The Tree house has all the amenities required for a comfortable stay for your family and friends. There is a gas fireplace as well as central heating and A/C, a complete kitchen with all the fixins' and laundry room. All bedding is included as well as bath towels. We also have an outdoor fire pit where you can relax in the evening while roasting marshmallows and gazing at the stars.

The Tree House is walking distance to the Roaring Fork falls - a 140 ft. cascading waterfall listed as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in North Carolina. Mt. Mitchell State Park, home of the tallest peak east of the Mississippi is in our back yard.

The cottage is wired for high speed WiFi access. There's a flat panel HD TV with a BluRay Disc player if you want to bring the kid's favorite movies. Access to Netflix, Pandora as as well as other internet apps. We also have a media server with a wide variety of current movies to watch with popcorn (provided) when you're kicking back.

The Tree House is pet friendly, however, there is an additional one time pet fee of $25 per pet as well as some common sense rules. Please let us know if you intend to bring your pet (s) so we can adjust the quote for the pet fee and discuss the rules.

House rules

Well behaved pest free pets allowed although there is a limit of 3 small to medium size dogs or 2 large breed dogs. Due to the high risk of anxiety, pets must be kenneled if left alone in the cottage. Do not leave a closed door between you and your pets as this is enough to cause anxiety in a strange place. Dogs must be kept on leash while on the common property.

Please respect our neighbors and keep noise levels down especially after 10pm.
