Get off the grid and venture into Pisgah National Forest to find 'Ama Falls,' a secluded 1-bedroom, 1-bath vacation rental cabin that backs up to a waterfall deep in the lush forests of the Black Mountains. Enjoy the cool mountain air and sounds of crashing waterfalls from the gorgeous riverfront deck. Treat this cabin as your own base camp for visiting Mt Mitchell and Mt Celo, North Carolina’s two tallest peaks over 6000 feet - they loom right there above your head!

The appropriately named 'Ama', meaning water in Cherokee, was given rightfully so, as the sounds of serene rivers and crashing waterfalls that surround this property provide a calming natural atmosphere like none other!

The cabin’s name is not the only touch of Native American culture you’ll find here - this space is filled with Cherokee-inspired influences in each room which adds to the unique ambiance. ‘Ama’ is covered in rustic wood paneling and mountain decor to make the space feel warm and cozy.

There's plenty to admire downstairs as you venture into the cabin and find your spot by the propane gas log fireplace or on the fur-lined leather chair. You'll be happy to find the kitchen fully equipped and filled with updated appliances so you won't have to make the drive into town, and can spend your nights cooking up dinners together in a kitchen of your own.

Take dinner to the outdoors and spend a night eating on the covered deck instead! This space boasts a 2-person table, outdoor grill, and incredible view of the river below, perfect for those warm summer nights. For a front row seat, walk down to the river to roast marshmallows over the fire pit while relaxing in the outdoor furniture.

Kick back in the additional living space upstairs, which features a flat-screen cable TV, eclectic furniture and magical fairy lights strung overhead. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
