Villa Maria, is a purpose built, luxury villa, in an exclusive development of just five architect designed holiday homes, just a few hundred yards from the famous Blue Flag rated beach of Cala Murada.

Built in 2006, no expense was spared to create your perfect luxury holiday home, from the marble staircase, and granite worktops in the kitchen, to the large walk in showers in both en suites, you can be assured of the highest standards and attention to detail at Villa Maria.

Located in an exclusive area of the resort, on a tree lined avenue, the villa boasts a large, enclosed rear garden, with plenty of space for al fresco dining, and sunbathing by the large 8m x 4m private pool.

This beautiful and spacious villa comprises four bedrooms 2 twins and 2 doubles, and sleeps 8. On the ground floor is a large double bedroom, with flat level wet room / shower room, family bathroom, a large open plan lounge & dining area, featuring a large plasma screen, English Freesat (with over 100 UK channels) and DVD player, as well as a large fitted kitchen, and separate utility area & pantry.

The upper floor consists of two twin bedrooms, another family bathroom, with bath & shower, and the master suite, with King Size bed, dressing area, and a large en suite shower room. Both the master suite and the rear twin bedroom, have access via French doors to the large rear sun terrace, which overlooks the pool & garden, and the rustic woodlands behind the house.

The large rear garden features a private swimming pool, 8 sun loungers, outside table & seating for 8, covered terrace, outside shower, and a large hot tub. To the front, there is a landscaped garden and parking for two cars.

The property features the latest high speed, unlimited broadband with WiFi available across the entire property. There are a selection of DVD's and board games for your use, and a large selection of children's beach toys, buckets and spades etc. For your comfort there is air conditioning to all rooms, and a wood burner making this an excellent summer or winter destination for the whole family or to enjoy with friends.


The villa is perfectly situated, amongst idyllic woodlands, at the very bottom of the village, just two minutes walk away from the sandy beach.


The fabulous Val d'Or 18 hole par 71 golf course is just a 10 min drive away (8km) on the road towards Cala d'Or. The course (5,539m long from white tees) combines 2 completely different landscapes for the front and back nine. The front nine has rolling fairways surrounded by a forest of pine almond and olive trees. The back nine has wider and more uneven fairways playing down towards the coast road. The golf course is demanding yet entertaining with magnificent views of the coastline. The clubhouse was opened in 1999 and is located on top of a hill. Even non golfers (who are most welcome) can enjoy the stunning views of Porto Colom and Cala d'or from the spectacular canopied sun terrace. A cold beer & club sandwich whilst enjoying the panoramic view is highly recommended. The restaurant, bar and locker rooms offer everything a golfer could wish for. The std.18 Hole Green-fee is around 90 euros (various discounts available).There are also several other good courses in the locality


The two storey villa has not been fully adapted to UK disability building regulations, however, the provision of a ground floor bedroom and bathroom with walk in / wheel in shower, and ramped access from the front driveway to the large rear French doors, means the villa should be able to accommodate the needs of most people. The ground floor is open plan with large French doors to the rear, with sufficient open space for even the largest wheelchair to navigate the house safely & easily. An extra wide front doorway should facilitate alternative wheelchair access if required (although the one shallow step to the front porch does not have a ramp).


Small supermarket selling English papers, fresh bread milk, etc can be found a minutes walk from the villa, going down towards the beach, they are open from 8am-1pm and again from 4pm-8pm, there is a lovely little restaurant alongside. On a Thursday there is a small market at the beach-front from 9am-1pm they have fresh produce, fruit, olives, cheese, clothes hand made gifts, and plants. Further round into the village you will find a larger supermarket, along with restaurants and banks. There are so many beautiful places to discover on the island:-The caves of Drach and the caves of Hams, with their underground lakes and light shows- Mallorca's largest pearl factory at Manacor where you can see the pearls being made into jewelry and a shop where you can purchase them- Discover the quaint fishing village of Porto Cristo- Sit by the harbour and have a drink or a meal at Porto Colom-Why not take a trip on the Starfish boat which you can catch at Porto Colom or one of the many other beautiful coves it visits right down to Cala d'Or and beyond to Cala Mondrego and Cala Figuera (Check the timetable and stop off for an hour or so at one and return on a later boat).

Getting around

There is a regular bus service 6 days a week from Cala Murada to Palma, and also to the other resorts and attractions along the East Coast. The number for a local, English Speaking taxi company is in the guest pack at the villa, should you wish to get a taxi.

Interaction with guest

The owner does not live in Mallorca. The villa is rented exclusively to you, with all facilities being private. Mallorca Villa Management is on hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, should you need any assitance.

A few minutes stroll to small supermarket and very nice restaurant then a further short stroll to a small but lovely beach with bar/restaurant. If you venture further up the hill there are further restaurants in particular we liked Halali great food and so welcoming! Perfect location if you’re looking for a real chill out time but be aware that most of the restaurants are a steady 15 minute uphill walk

The villa is just as advertised - it is truly lovely! Having a wonderful time, really well equipped and the pool and hot tub have seen lots of action. Whilst not essential, if recommend hiring a car to get around a bit - non issues with the villa at all (would rebook in a heartbeat) but the local supermarkets are a bit limited and expensive - nearest large supermarket is a drive away ( £15 in a taxi). The villa is awesome and Cala Murada is a lively quiet resort - out holiday has been 10/10 so far :)

Lovely stay at you beautiful villa. Felt very homey and they very kindly welcomed us with a some wine and fruit and left us things for tea and coffee. Rooms are very cosy and air con works well. Master bedroom is especially nice! We enjoyed breakfasts and Sangria on the balcony in the sun and made very good use of the hot tub and sun loungers. We had a slight problem with the hot tub but some one came to sort it within half an hour. There was a shop and restaurant just 50m away and a beach 200m away although the beach at Cala domingos was a bit prettier and cleaner and only a 15-30min walk. Cala murada did seem quite quiet although we are late in the season but nice for a relaxing holiday. Thank you very much, we hope to some again!

This was a holiday for a mixed family group. We found Villa Maria to be very clean and well appointed with plenty of space and everything we needed for a relaxing self catering holiday. I have stayed in self catering accommodation where the “facilities” were very basic this certainly wasn’t the case with Villa Maria. There has obviously been care taken in choosing all the appliances and furnishings, whilst at the same time making it “homely” and comfortable. Outside there is a lovely patio area with a large table and chairs for al fresco meals and a reasonably sized pool and hot tub. It is in a fairly quiet area but within reach of shops and restaurants. We had a very enjoyable time there with no complaints whatsoever.

How do damage deposits work?
