Lovely 3 bed villa furnished to a high standard including all the latest mod cons expected in a first class holiday home. Just a 10 minute drive from the airport. The villa is in a quiet location on the prestigious Fuerteventura Golf Resort near Caleta de fuste, and enjoys fabulous views across the Golf Course to the sea beyond. The beaches of Caleta are within easy distance, as are a large selection of shops and restaurants.

The villa has 3 bedrooms, one with kingsize bed, plus two twin rooms. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes, chests of drawers and fans. The house has a large shady terrace with bbq perfect for al fresco dining and is situated on a large plot with secure and private gardens. There is also a large sunny sunbathing area with 4 sunbeds.

Villa Golf y Mar is furnished to a high standard and provides extremely light and airy accommodation. Spacious lounge furnished in contempory style enjoying two large sofas , storage units and coffee tables with SKY HD TV,DVD player,CD and Ipod dock. Patio doors leading to alfresco dining area on terrace where you can enjoy the balmy evenings. Master bedroom (on 1st floor) also spacious, large balcony with sea and golf course views.Bedroom two (1st floor) with twin beds, large balcony ,mountain views. Bedroom three (ground floor) twin beds. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with built in draw space and room fans are provided.Bathroom 1 upstairs very spacious with bath/shower, marble basin unit, loo and bidet. Large mirror and ceramic tiled floor. Bathroom 2 downstairs has a shower, marble basin unit and loo. Kitchen is fully fitted with dark oak units with high gloss worktops. Fully integrated appliances oven, grill, hob, fridge freezer ,washing machine,dish washer. Also provided is microwave, kettle, toaster , smoothie maker and blender. The house is located adjacent to the 18th tee and is just a 5 minute stroll from the Club House located in the luxurious 5* Elba Palace Golf Hotel. The house has a large terrace (facing East/South/West) with seating for 6 plus barbecue - ideal for enjoying the spectacular Canarian weather, and listening to the clink of golf ball on driver from the 18th tee. A further flat terraced area provides a lovely spot in which to sunbathe and soak up the sun, with sunbeds.

Fuerteventura boats the finest beaches of all the Canary Islands - fantastic sand dunes, and is one of the most popular destinations for Wind and Kite Surfers. The Island has a great deal to offer, visit the Oceanarium at the Harbour and feed the fish, sail on a catamaran, swim with the dolphins, take surfing or scuba diving lessons, camel riding, quad bike hire, go karting, fabulous water park.

The villa is surrounded by large gardens and enjoys a large terrace (facing East/South/West) with seating for 6 plus barbecue - ideal for enjoying the spectacular Canarian weather, and listening to the clink of golf ball on driver from the 18th tee. A further flat terraced area provides a lovely spot in which to sunbathe and soak up the sun, with sunbeds. Upstairs balcony also has patio furniture enjoying further views of the sea and the golf course. .Parking is secure and gates can be locked for the safety of young children allowing you to relax and chill out. The large communal pools are only steps away and provide showers, wc, changing facilities and sunbeds. Villa Golf y Mar is adjacent to the Golf Course,which was home to the Spanish Open Championship in 2004. Tee times can be booked in advance if required although availability is generally good. The Golf Club is located in the 5* Elba Palace Golf Hotel and guests at the villa may avail themselves of many of the facilities in the hotel - bars, restaurants, gym (fee payable), tennis (fee payable). The villa is located in a very peaceful location but within easy reach of all the facilities on offer in Caleta De Fuste. Also centrally located to visit both the North and South of the island. A 10 minute stroll takes you to the Atlantico Centre with a large variety of shops a large supermarket with a fabulous offering of fresh meat, fish and vegetables, and an array of bars of restaurants. Caleta de Fuste is a lovely family resort with a very safe horseshoe shaped sandy beach, ideal for young children. Watersports are available at the bustling marina, including water skiing, fishing, boat hire etc. Dolphins are often sighted further out to sea so a boat trip from the marina is highly recommended. There are a number of excellent bars and restaurants in the town, and a visitors book at the house provides details of those we recommend. Nightlife in the town is generally low key (no late night clubs etc). Good quality family entertainment can be found in the hotels.Further afield, we recommend a trip to the dunes at Corralejo, the beaches on the Southern tip of the island at Jandia, the zoo at Lajares, go-karting, etc. An Island Guide at the villa provides details of all these and more..

Getting around

The villa is located just 15 minutes drive from the airport. Taxis at the airport are plentiful and you would expect to pay around 15 Euros each way. A transfer service is also offered by the Manager and this should be pre arranged with the Owner in advance. There are numerous hire car companies at the airport and in Caleta de Fuste.

“Lovely bolthole”

Our villa stay was a great success. Shelagh was brilliant. She picked us up at the airport & took us (me!) to the supermarket immediately. She also transferred us back to the airport at the end of our stay. All for 25 Euros. The upstairs accommodation is lovely; except for the bed in the main bedroom, which was to be changed after we left. The view is as the photos show from the upstairs balcony. The downstairs twin room is more suitable for children than adults. A little bit of TLC could see this villa classed as luxurious - all beds, bedding, towels, a full length mirror for the vain! a thorough clean, esp. of the fridge, the balcony furniture, the walkway & please oil the front gates. It sounded like a smoke alarm chirping for a new battery! Taxis are really cheap - 3.5 - 4.5 euros. We got into a routine of me walking down to either the commercial centre to the right or Caleta itself to the left - as you look from the villa - about 20 minutes - doing the daily shop & returning by taxi. (The bananas are better in the supermarket in Caleta!). NB Put "00" in front of phone numbers for both Shelagh & the taxi firms from mobiles. We ate out in various places. Would recommend the steak place at the end of the underpass, opposite where the market (non food) is held on Tuesdays & Saturdays. Also the 60s cafe in Caleta for cheap English breakfasts,perfect coffee & a loo. A jug of Pina Colada was 12 euros & was great fun!!! - but very mild! The Scottish steak restaurant - Aberdeen? was good value, if predictable.I think the best steak restaurant is the Fado, but we were on a budget. A good value trip if you don't want to jet ski or snorkel, is the trip across to Playa Blanca on Lanzarote, from Correlajo, for 33 euros. Coach to Correlajo, across on the ferry about 11.00 am & back at 5.30. Playa Blanca is the best resort on Lanzarote. Market on Wednesday at the marina. A whole day to wander round the beautiful little town. Agent in Caleta much more helpful than the one in the commercial centre. She did not even mention this trip! However, the piece de resistance must be the pool. Absolutely stunning & under used. Proper toilets & shower facilities with comfortable plentiful loungers. Only for the residents from the surrounding villas. The weather in early June was perfect for us - warm wind with intermittent cloud cover & around 24 degrees made it pleasant to wander about.

perfect location for our golf trip, nice neighbours on both sides, villa clean, pillows very flat, would definitely stay again and plan to book a return visit soon.ps we ate in a restaurant four nights only five mins from the villa where the food was outstanding.

“Perfect retreat !!!”

Shelagh,the agent looking after us was amazing!!! On second day of our visit we had major boiler problem after one phone call to Shelagh, it was sorted same day! Location was good for us. We were two couples and each had a balcony off our bedrooms upstairs. There was also a smaller twin room which we didn't use so great space. Don't like to be living next door to bars and noise etc so was perfect! Only 4 euros to Atlantica centre for shopping and beach etc, most days we would walk down and get taxi back. Loved the Villa the space was great inside and out! Pool was practically on doorstep, though we liked the breeze along with sun on the beach! Definitely would go back tomorrow, Had no problems getting answers to any Questions from owner Jan G and was a great first time experience using trip advisor! Highly recommend!
