Description

This is a remote location cabin with an ocean front property, located 20km off of Hwy 19. We are roughly 40 minutes North of Campbell River. You can access our property along a dirt road or by water taxi/boat.

The dirt road is easy enough for all vehicles during the spring, summer and early fall months. Late fall, winter, and early spring may require chains.

The current dock is for drop off/pick up only. Currently, we do not have boat parking.

Breathtaking one of a kind views from every room in the house and possibly the best fishing on the Island! Arrange for a charter to pick you up right from the dock!

The space sleeps 11 comfortably. Three bedrooms, all with their own private patios and amazing views of the ocean! Master bedroom has a queen bed and an additional bunk bed. This room also has a refinished master bath with tub/shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has a double bed. The living room has a pull out sofa for extra guests. Also upstairs is another nice renovated bathroom with full tub and shower located between the second and third bedroom.

The main living area is a totally open concept. Nice size kitchen, dining room, living room, and sitting area all looking out huge windows to the ocean! Spiral staircase in the center leads down to a huge games room equipped with shuffleboard, Foosball table, pool table, ping pong, poker and more.

A very short 2-minute walk will give access to the beach or dock. (Please note there is no area to park a boat, it is for pick up/drop off only at this time) 8-10 minute drive down the road is access to Stella Lake. Great for fishing and swimming.

A couple things to note:

1. We provide two large coolers and two medium-sized coolers. Please bring your own ice blocks and cubed ice as needed.

2. Power is off of a generator. We ask that it is turned off during the day when you do not need it.

3. There is no oven. At this time we have a propane cook top for cooking, lots of cooking items like electric grill, instant pot, electric pan and also a BBQ. But we do not have an oven.

4. There is no cell service. This is our favorite thing about our cabin! Connect with your family and friends not the internet. There is a few spots outside that get limited cell service, but otherwise we do NOT have cell service and do NOT have WIFI! We do however how hours of board games, movies, books and out door activities!

“The information was lacking and very misleading”

The worst part was the access to the property, Over 15 KM of logging Road which took us over 2 hours to travel one way in our city rental cars also the property was very difficult to find as the directions were poor and there were no markings for the property either. It was by true luck that we managed to find it in the first place. I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone with a young family and only if you have a large four by four vehicle suitable to drive on rough terrain.

Owner's reply: Hello, thank you very much for your review. We are sorry to hear that you had such a hard time we will look into our directions and see if we can adjust. We have been renting our property for over a year and with zero complaints with the directions we provide and also never has anyone taken 2 hours to drive 15kms. The gravel road is grated often and in good condition for any vehicle. Our cabin is very family-friendly with many activities and two beaches very close by. You emailed asking for all of your money back after your stay for many reasons and with proof, turns out you were very wrong. My add clearly states we are generator run, off-grid, and many other things you complained about. You in fact did not read the listing correctly. You also complained that we did not give you any information about the property until 24 hours before check-in, but in fact, I was trying many times to get ahold of you a week before and I also sent you all the screenshots of my attempts. I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. All the best.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Carmelle (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
