This is African glamping at its camptastic best. The Lekker Camper VW Campers are fully equipped with fitted units to enable you to stop whenever and wherever you want and be really comfortable. There are different camping layouts to suit all your needs for a couple or small family - choose from the 2-berth VW T3/T25 Comfort Campervan or luxury and modern 2 berth VW T5 Africana campervan with Solar Power.

Our Volkswagen campers are a true home on wheels - quality built to ensure a comfortable journey and superb holiday experience. Add to that great and efficient customer service with one big fat African smile and you have the perfect holiday.

All campervan rentals have a Built in fitted Kitchen, Cupboards, Drawers, Table, Chairs, Awning, Double bed, Curtains, 12v/240v Fridge, Fitted 2-burner gas stove, Aircon, Power steering, Alarm, Immobiliser, CD/radio player, 24/7 road cover and all Cooking, Relaxing & Sleeping equipment.

Important Note: Campervans do not have bathrooms. In South Africa bathrooms are provided at campsites including toilets, showers, baths and washing facilties.

Extras: You can book extras such as mountain bikes, solar systems, tents, GPS, shark cage diving... - please email us to add these onto your booking.

One of the great things about renting a Lekker Camper campervan is that you have a home on wheels. Stop by the sea or at a viewpoint, park up and make a coffee or breakfast, lunch or dinner wherever you are. The fridge keeps running keeping your food and drinks ice cold.

House rules

IMPORTANT: On delivery of your campervan the main driver will be required to complete and sign a rental contract and to provide their credit card (Visa or Mastercard embossed cards only) to lock their excess. Driver will also need to present their original driving license (English or International permit only) and their original passport or South African ID document.

Why can't I call Lekker (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Lekker (the owner) a message.

If Lekker (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
