Description

Cabins Over Crag Lake is located near kilometer post 42 on the scenic Tagish Road (#8). Just 12 kilometers east of Carcross--near the west end of Crag Lake--our cabins overlook the entire valley with stunning views of Crag Lake and the surrounding mountains.

Unlike many rentals in the area, our cabins are fully plumbed, wired, and connected. You can spend your days immersed in the beauty and adventures of the Yukon wilderness, but modern-day comforts and conveniences are close at hand.

This listing is for Cabin #1, our allergy-friendly (pets not allowed) cabin. Cabin #1 has a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area on the main floor. The main floor also includes a full-size futon for extra guests. Upstairs you'll find a comfy queen-size bed, a TV and a DVD player, and a small--but complete--bathroom. We also have an extensive DVD collection available with more than 200 movies & TV series available to choose from.

Guests will find a barbeque outside as well as historic Klondike gold dredge bucket fire pits. Campfires in the firepits are encouraged provided the local forest fire risk allows open fires.

Guests can go cycling, canoeing, hiking, or skiing directly from or near the property. We have two mountain bikes available for rent and have a canoe nearby for any interested paddlers.

Getting around

Subject to availability, we are able to coordinate an airport shuttle service for an additional fee. AND if you're super ambitious, it is possible to see all of the local sites on a bike... but if that's not you, a car is definitely recommended.

Our family lives just up the hill from the cabins. There is usually someone available to answer your questions or to help with any issues that may arise during your stay. Looking for recommendations? The cabin can be booked only by a guest that is over 18 years old.
Two adults (or children between 16 & 18 years of age) are allowed under the booking price. Additional adults (or children between 16 & 18 years old are charged $25 per additional person per night.
All children are welcome.
Children under 16 years of age stay free of charge.
Pets are NOT allowed in Cabin #1.
In the interest of our other guests, smoking is not allowed in or around the cabins.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Greg & Krystal (the owner) a message.

If Greg & Krystal (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
