Description from owner

Description

Dear visitors,

This description has been writen by Christophe, the french owner of the property Sorry for my Unperfect english language.

This 19th century château (and its outbuilding) covering 460 m² has an exceptional location, in the heart of the southern Burgundy, between Beaune and Mâcon, a few minutes from Chalon-sur-Saône.

It is situated in a beautiful 5-acre wooded parkland with orchard, hundred-year-old trees and large 6x12 m salt water pool heated from 1st of April to 31rst of October.

The château houses 7 luxury bedrooms and 7 ensuite bathrooms as well as a bedroom for a baby and child, a cosy living room with fireplace, a dining room and a kitchen. All living spaces directly open onto the terrace of the pool which is convivial.

The outbuilding of the château houses a stunning fitness center with sauna, hammam and fitness and weights room.

Happiness is in the park

The 200 m access road to the château goes through an apple orchard and opens onto a large courtyard with space to park 8 vehicles comfortably. Surrounded by an edge or greenery and trees, some over a century old, the château is very private.

Authenticity and comfort

The two round towers of the château gives it a charm that will delight the old stone lovers.

In the living room, the dining room and the bedrooms we kept the period features. Wooden parquet floors, the ceilings “à la Française”, the fireplaces, the doors and the period windows.

Almost one year of works have been necessary to offer you the comfort we can expect today. The bedrooms have been sound-proofed and some bedrooms that are South-exposed or in the attic, are air-conditioned. The decoration and the furniture have been chosen with utmost care, a really excellent mix of traditional and modern styles.

The bedrooms:

There are 4 bedrooms with 160x200 cm double bed and 3 bedrooms with 80x200 cm twin beds. Twin beds can be joined to make a 160x200 cm bed upon simple request.

5 bedrooms are air-conditioned.

There is also a 8th bedroom dedicated to a baby and a child.

Beds are made up for your arrival. 2 baby cots are at your disposal in the château.

The VIP bedroom is situated on the first floor. Its balcony overlooks the pool and provide you with pleasant views of the parkland.

It has air-conditioning, a full HD television, a Blu-ray player and a Spa bath.

The bathrooms:

The 7 bedrooms have their own ensuite bathroom. Stylish and fitted with your comfort in mind, each bathroom has a toilet, a washbasin and a shower or a bath. Each bathroom is equipped with a heated towel rail and a hair dryer.

The towels are provided upon arrival.

Peaceful nights:

The château is not bothered by traffic or other noise. In addition, all the bedroom walls are sound-proofed to ensure your complete privacy.

The living room:

The living room boasts of a 19th century fireplace. An electric fireplace system will allow you to fully enjoy convivial moments by the fireside without the trouble to have to carry wood!

You will appreciate the relaxing decoration and comfort of the living room that is very bright with its large French window opening onto the parkland and the poo. The ceiling “à la Française” and the ancient oak parquet floor add a touch of authenticity worthy of your chatelaine stay. A large HD flat screen television with satellite channels as well as a PlayStation 3 and its DVD Blu-ray home cinema will ensure pleasant entertaining evenings.

The dining room:

The table is ready to seat up to 14 guests. Just like in the living room, the large French doors opening onto the parkland and the pool add a lot of light and highlight the ceiling “à la Française” and the oak parquet floor dating back from the building of the château.

A wide range of crockery and cutlery, carefully selected by Sylvia, is at your disposal in the sideboard of the living room.

The kitchen:

The kitchen of the château is perfectly fitted: traditional oven, micro-wave, 5-ring hob with extractor hood, dishwasher, 2 large refrigerators including a double door refrigerator, freezer, electrical coffee maker, toaster, electrical kettle, etc.

A complete set of utensils and cooking appliances is at your disposal as well as tea towels.

The large farm table with change your breakfast in great convivial moments.

2 high chairs are at your disposal.

Many leisure activities in the château:

We have tried to think of everything to keep young and old amused during all the seasons.

The 6x12 m pool is heated and the water is treated with salt. It is open from 1st April to 31th October. An automatic cover is there for the safety of the little ones and keeps the water warm when the pool is not used. The shallow end is 1 m deep and goes down to around 1.90 m.

You can laze on the sunloungers during the sunny afternoons and there is an outdoor living area for breakfasts and dinners by the water.

The outbuilding of the château houses the tastefully fitted fitness centre. You will enjoy a large hammam and a sauna as well as a fitness and weights room.

It is composed of 2 types of exercise bikes, rowing machine, weights, weights machines, etc.

The HD television and its DVD player will entertain you sport session!

The château is equipped with 3 HD televisions and 3 Blu-ray players as well as a PlayStation 3 and twenties of games.
