Self catering second story apartment with amazing views. Private, well equipped with all the necessities to make your vacation complete. Walk the shoreline for hours or enjoy the quiet spots along the trails that meander through our sixteen acre property. Hike the highlands or the many trails in the community. Golf close by or at world class courses, go fishing, whale watching, visit the distillery, winery or local museums. Take a day trip around the Cabot Trail, visit the Alexander Bell Museum or go to Fortress Louisbourg. In the evening you will be welcomed to join in the fun and entertainment at local restaurants, bars or community halls. Or....if you prefer enjoy your own bonfire while watching an amazing sunset or stargazing. Condé Nast travel magazine has declared Cape Breton to be one of the world's best islands to visit and we have the perfect place for you to enjoy it.

Getting around

A motorized vehicle is necessary unless you really want a workout! We have bicycles for you to borrow and you can rent kayaks and paddle board near-by. We have lots of parking for your cars, motorbikes, ATVs or trailers.

We want to provide you with everything you need to make your visit as enjoyable and as memorable as possible while ensuring you have as much privacy as you wish. Do you need a guide? We will do our best to find one. Do you want an intimate wedding or celebration? We can help with that too! Are you looking for privacy? No problem :) Relax and enjoy the views, cuddle up to the fireplace, listen to the ocean lulling you to sleep. Hike, run, bike or swim. Come and spend some time "À la Côte", on the beach where the mountains meet the sea, you will leave revitalized after experiencing what we hope will be a great vacation.

House rules

Please note an additional 15% tax on the amount quoted (minus all fees ) will be payable upon check-in. The $200 damage deposit to be paid at check-in will be reimbursed after a satisfactory inspection of the premises by both parties at checkout. Because of previous experience, if you are travelling with a pet, we require a pet occupancy fee ($25/day), an additional cleaning fee of $75, and a damage deposit of $200.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send John (the owner) a message.

If John (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
