Welcome!

Our newly renovated cottage sits among flowering gardens, across the road from a lovely stream, just 2 miles from the village of Phoenicia & minutes away from the ski slopes.

The cottage is filled with artwork from around the globe and every corner is a pleasure!

We have lovingly designed and renovated the cottage inspired by our travels and our love of nature. It was an old barn which we have completely renovated. We love it and think it is a beautiful addition to our hand crafted home!

The cottage has eating area with a coffee maker, microwave, sink and mini fridge and is equipped with dishes and any other basics you may need. Gourmet coffees and teas are stocked. (Please note that the cottage does not have an oven). The living area has a couch that easily opens into a comfy queen bed, and a sweet dining area looking out over the gardens filled with beautiful birds.

There is a stone patio just outside, with a barbeque and a fire pit, at the base of a lovely wooded area and hiking trails into the mountains are easily accessed.

There is a sweet sleeping loft with a full size bed. Please note that access to the loft requires a climb up some steep steps! The loft space is delightful to sleep in, but does have low head room!!

The bathroom has a beautiful hand tiled & stone shower looking out into the woods. The cottage has beautiful antique lighting and many Balinese touches including wood carvings & batik art.

Perennial flower gardens, a delightful gold fish pond, stone patios, and vegetable gardens surround the cottage and each window looks out to a lovely view! Your eyes will be pleased here!

We are 15 minutes drive from Hunter Ski Slope, and Belleayre Mountain, and 30 minutes from Windham. Happy to give you reports on ski conditions!

House Rules:

-We hope you will relax and enjoy yourselves.

-No smoking inside but you can smoke outdoors.

-We settle in in the evenings and it is a quiet area in nature, you are free to have a peaceful campfire in our fire pit late into the evening under the stars.

-We ask that the contents of the cottage are left in the same condition as arrival. Dishes may be left to dry in the dish drainer.

-LIABILITY – The house is privately owned; the owner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The owners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the renters or their guests. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. Renter is responsible for all acts of renters family, employees or guests invited to the premises.

PLUMBING - Renter agrees not to flush anything but toilet paper in the cottage toilets.

CHECK IN TIME is 2 pm and check-out is 12 pm. Early check-ins only if arranged prior to stay.

This is a NON SMOKING cottage. No smoking allowed inside at any time.

-Pet Policy:

Dogs only. We allow clean, well-behaved dogs to accompany our guests. The additional fee for dogs is $30 per dog/ per night. Cats, due to the prevalence of common allergies, are not permitted. We must be notified in advance if you are bringing your dog. Dogs are not permitted on the beds, bedding or furniture. Please bring other bedding for your pets. Dogs must be house-trained, not prone to frequent barking, biting or destruction. Please keep your dog leashed and clean up after your dog outside. The registered guest is responsible for any damages or extra cleaning charges.

We will provide as much privacy as you need but will be available to you. We are a working couple, and will be out and about at various times. We work both outside and inside of our home. We may leave things for you, local treats and farm fresh vegetables if you would like. The table on our screened porch is a place where we can exchange items so that we don't disturb you.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
