Enjoy your luxurious, private suite for less than the cost of a B&B. Your private one or two bedroom suite is 11 acre estate in the heart of the Cowichan Valley. You will overlook the dawn on Salt Spring Island, hear the eagles calling, and relax in your own piece of paradise.

Each suite comes fully furnished. You have a beautiful kitchen, refrigerator, cooktop, stainless steel microwave, pantry, all white crockery and quality utensils. You have a flat screen TV with unlimited Netflix movies. You have free high speed wireless internet. Your bathroom comes with luxury towels and amenities.

The Xanadu 1, 2 bedroom suite has a superb and deep pillow top luxury queen bed, his and hers closets, and Saltspring Island views.

The Xanadu 1, 2nd bedroom comes with two twin beds, ipod stereo player, walk in closet, and a comfortable sofa to enjoy your garden views. There is also a pull out sofa bed. Sleeps up to 5.

The Xanadu 2, 2 bedroom suite has a King Bedroom, a Queen Bedroom and even its own wood fireplace. Xanadu 2 will sleep up to 5. Same wonderful amenities as Xanadu 1. Suitable for both short and long term stays.

The Xanadu Escape is your new Luxury one Bedroom HOUSE. The Xanadu Escape is privately set in the trees and has a lovely deck and private patio area. There is a gourmet kitchen with Bosch appliances, dishwasher, rainhood shower spa bathroom, and underfloor heating. Luxury queen bed room, and a comfortable queen leather sofa bed in the living room. There is a fireplace and round picture window. Bright, clean and beautiful!

The Escape sleeps up to 4. Same wonderful amenities as Xanadu 1 and Xanadu 2.

All suites are suitable for both short and long term stays.

Wander outside to meet the friendly bunnies, birds and deer. Enjoy the warmth of the outdoor fireplace. Enjoy breakfast outside in the sun. For fitness folks there is a trampoline, for the rest of us, comfy lounge chairs.

For your convenience, there is a front loading washer and dryer, coffee and tea provided, and even a storage closet for your suitcases. You have a propane barbeque and large barbeque garden area, free bicycle rentals, and an outdoor play area for children.

Stroll down the tree lined driveway, and come to Arbutus Ridge Golf Course, whose entrance is truly just across the road. See how many golf balls you can find en route. Enjoy world class gourmet dining at the many close by wineries, pubs and seaside restaurants.

The Xanadu Treehouse is a cute and cozy house in the trees. Suitable for one or two. Its large private deck overlooks the Cowichan Valley. The Treehouse has a deep, comfortable soaker tub and is fully equipped with a kitchen, and washer and dryer. Rates are $110.00 per night, $500.00 per week. Guests at the Xanadu Treehouse are able to use all the amenities of Xanadu Estate.

For those seeking to escape Winter, Xanadu Estate is in the Cowichan Valley, which means the WARMLANDS, the warmest part of Canada.

Many guests come for a month or longer to enjoy our gentle 'winter'. Students and their families are also welcome.

House rules

We are on 11 acres, so there is room for children to play, and lots of room for peace and quiet. Our property is perfect for family reunions, small weddings, and outdoor functions. We are able to arrange catering, and can host up to 60 people on the lawn area. Families staying here often book all the Xanadu suites and have the whole property to themselves.

Smoking is only available outside in the outdoor fireplace area.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Jane (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
