Description

Here at Studio Lorel, you have total privacy, you have your own private entrance and terraced area for dining and a gazebo for that all important shade, the wonderful 9 x 4 swimming pool, plus the glorious views, seating for viewing the vistas from different points of the terraces, there is a local bar/restaurant approximately 15 minutes walk or just a 2 minute drive, a car is essential here if you wish to visit some of the wonderful sights here in the Axarquia region, we have mountains, lakes and valleys, wonderful wildlife, great for the photographer or artist, the amazing star lit skies are stunning, as we have no light pollution here, they are crystal clear and you can always see shooting stars, you can lie in the pool or on a sun lounger and star gaze, well worth it!

The views are wonderful, you can chill by the pool whilst admiring the wonderful vistas, take a swim in the totally private 9 x 4 pool.

We live on site, but your privacy is of most importance to us, the only things you will see are our dogs and the local wildlife. A car is essential for the area, especially if you want to visit any of the local beauty spots, there are mountains, valleys, lakes and beautiful blanco villages, like Comares, at 790 meters high, it's a great place to visit, you can see to the coast and to the Sierra Nevada mountains, also Nerja which have fabulous caves to visit and lots of shops and bars, Torre del Mar also has lots of bars and local market to admire too........take your camera!

The Studio is situated in the Campo (Countryside) so quite rural, so a car is essential, we have our excellent local Retaurant/Bar Ortega, they have great menu and at a great price too, very welcoming, lovely people. There are no local shops, the nearest shops are 5 and 7 kilometers away, a 15 or 20 minute drive. The local bar is a 20 minute walk or a 2 minute drive. If you wish to visit a different bar or restaurant and not wish to drive, we can provide a taxi for you at a minimal charge (All charges on request).

There is a ‘No smoking’ policy in the studio, ashtrays will be provided for outside use, also please make sure you cigarette is extinguished as fire are easily started in the dry hot summer months.
Please use tanning creams after your swim, it creates a film on the water and grease on the tiles.

“Amazing gem in the Spanish mountains.”

We had the pleasure of staying for a week in the studio during a very hot July. The inside accommodation is small but perfectly equipped & consists of a double bedroom, a lounge/kitchen & a shower room. The bedroom has a very effective air con unit which was essential with temperatures reaching mid 30s. The studio did stay quite cool inside. You really don’t spend much time indoors as the outside area is stunning! A lovely large pool which is kept spotlessly clean, lots of space to sunbathe, a double bed covered by a gazebo & an outside gas bbq where we cooked dinner most evenings. The owners Nigel & Lorraine live in the house attached to the studio & were so helpful without ever being intrusive. The dogs were a joy! A car really is essential if you wish to explore the surrounding area. We just wanted a week of total relaxation & thanks to the kindness of our hosts were able to manage with a couple of trips to the supermarket & to the lovely local & very friendly bars. We had such a relaxing time & cannot wait to return. Thankyou Lorraine & Nigel for sharing this beautiful place with us.

How do damage deposits work?
