Description from owner
The Starlight Suite offers a licensed fully furnished two-bedroom apartment unit (guest suite), with it's own separate entrance in my detached house. It's in a fantastic residential area in Coquitlam. There are two twin-beds in one of the bedrooms, and a queen-bed in the master bedroom. The suite sleeps four comfortably as the accommodations are 730 square feet. However, there is a double sofa bed in the living room (not shown) and a roll-away bed in a closet. Many like to set the roll-away up in the twin room between the beds. Sometimes it is set up beside the master bedroom for a small child. I often have 7 happy guests staying in the suite! There is free high speed internet for plug in, or wifi.
The living room is open to the fully-equipped kitchen area, and both offer all the amenities of home. There is a full bathroom, plus a shared laundry room area. Also included in your stay; cable television, and a private telephone for free local calls. There are many extra linens provided. As well, if you choose to go for a picnic to one of the fabulous lakes or the ocean beach, or a park, there is a cooler (with ice packs in the freezer), beach blanket, picnic dishes and a portable charcoal barbecue!
There is access to the locked yard, with the large in-ground pool. Adult supervision is required for children as there is no supervision provided. There is an assortment of life-jackets available also. This area is shared with myself and my daughter. If my family or guests are over, you may find us taking a dip in the pool as well as yourselves. I try to give privacy to the yard and pool area to guests and follow their lead.
There is a barbecue by the pool deck for guest use. I use the one up on the sundeck.
If one should wish housekeeping services during longer stays, this can be arranged through myself by an outside housekeeper, at $30/hour.
Need babysitting? My daughter, 15, if available, would love to watch your children. She is certified with the Red Cross babysitting course, plus she is a St John's Ambulance Volunteer First Aid Cadet, whereas she takes 2 1/2 hours training each week with St John's Ambulance.
The suite is a great place for persons or families that are between buying and selling homes, vacationing in the area, visiting out of town family and friends, and insurance claims of fire and damage. We are sure you will enjoy your stay!

I myself have taken the short taxi to the skytrain, and have also walked 5 minutes to the end of the street to the bus stop (which connects to skytrain). The taxi is better with luggage! For groceries, as well as the Walmart near the Coquitlam Station, is Save On Foods and the Canadian Superstore. We all hope you will return again...as well as Chloe the cat! :) Thanks.

Owner's reply: It was wonderful to host Bob's group. They chose and were happy to use the transit system to get to the Towne Centre for the Championship games each day. Next Spring we will have the Skytrain up and running which will quickly get one into Vancouver! The station is at the bottom of the hill (15-20 minute walk, or less than 5 minute by car/taxi) I hope to see you out this way again one year, Bob, where you can tour and enjoy our city! If Corinna (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
