Ideal for families (sleeps 6 max) or 2 couples.

Our home in Buckley Bay, has 200 feet of private waterfront. The house is nestled amongst tall trees with incredible 180 degree views of the Bayne’s Sound, BC Coastal Mountains and the Northern Gulf Islands. This is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay!

The house is ideal for a single family or 2 couples. We allow a maximum of 4 adults to stay. If 6 adult family members wish to stay, we are OK with that. The master bedroom is upstairs and has a queen bed. The second bedroom is downstairs and has a queen bed and a set of bunk beds. Two Bathrooms, one on each level. Large living room. 44" LCD HDTV - Cable TV and Google Chromecast to stream Netflix, movies or music from your phone or tablet - DVD Player. Stone fireplace. Electric fire. Wireless Internet/WiFi. Private Hot-Tub. Spacious, fully equipped kitchen. Laundry Facilities (detergent and softener provided). Solid Oak Flooring. Beautiful Deck. BBQ (propane supplied). Fire-pit, on private beach (firewood supplied). Large grassy yard for the kids to play in. Lots of wildlife viewing opportunities - bald eagles, herons, sea lions, seals, sea otters, orcas and humpback whales are all frequent visitors during the year

Getting around

You will need a car, we are a short drive to Courtenay/Comox/Cumberland/Mount Washington Alpine Resort/Campbell River Cars can be rented from Comox airport (all the big car hire companies are there).

Interaction with guest

We live next door to the Beach House (the 2 houses are on the same property, but private to each other) and look after all our bookings and deal with our guests directly. We are originally from the UK and emmigrated to Canada in 1992 where we lived in Alberta for 10 years before moving out to the coast! We built the Beach House in 2007. Courtenay and Comox are just 15 minutes away along the very scenic coastal highway. Mt Washington Alpine Resort and Strathcona Provisional Park are just a 30 minute drive away. Horne Lake Caves are just down the road, Campbell River (great whale watching tours) is just up the road. Cumberland with all its fantastic bike trails is only 10 minutes away and is a funky, vibrant village.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If John (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
