Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live aboard a boat and have a great home base for all your adventures in midcoast Maine? Step aboard your private yacht, Mazu, a luxurious 42 foot floating vacation rental hotel - floatel - boatel that rides the tides of the scenic Damariscotta River, and experience a unique boating adventure without ever leaving the dock or the mooring.

Imagine relaxing on the deck, inhaling pure ocean air and nautical vibes, drink in hand, the freshest oysters on the table, lobsters in the pot, enjoying your own private sunset between Portland and Bar Harbor! No previous boating experience required. The use of two kayaks and a canoe is included.

Description of the Yacht:

The 42-foot boat features elegant bedding, a sleek kitchen, and spacious decks for sunning and entertaining. Two private staterooms are perfect for four guests, but with an additional bed, Mazu can accommodate up to six.

In the magnificent aft Captain's Cabin, with a king-size bed and private head (WC) and shower, you can stretch out and relax.

The roomy forepeak stateroom, V-berth, features a queen-size bed, a large hanging locker, and head.

The large galley (kitchen) is open so the chef is never isolated from salon conversation. It's equipped with an upright refrigerator, electric stove, large sink, and coffee and tea maker.

The cheerful dinette, opposite the galley to port (left), seats up to six adults comfortably.

The spacious Main Salon (living room) provides an elegant setting for entertaining. Huge wrap-around windows flood the room with light, painting an ever-changing seascape. A sofa here can convert to a double bed.

Mazu is docked right in the village, two minutes from Route 1; and parking is free.

For maximum privacy, Mazu can be moved to a secluded anchorage and we can train you how to operate a modern inflatable boat with oars and a small four stroke outboard motor.

Plus there is plenty of extra space for other boats and toys you might bring along.

If cancellations are made with less than 30 days’ notice, we will try to rebook the boat then the deposit will be refund. If we cannot rebook the dates then the deposit and balance is then forfeited. No refunds for late arrivals or early departures.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Olga (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
