Full family house with pool, garden, open and unspoiled views over the sea and mountain.

You reach the house by a small path that leads to a green fence, which closes the property plot. There is space for parking, and then a garden with a figs tree, olive trees, and a small pond with gold fishes and frogs. All around is plenty of cool and shadowy places to rest, a hammock under the big leaves of the figs tree. Next to this is a big patio with a palm tree; from there you have a panoramic view over the valley, the village hill and the sea. The house lies on terraces that go down to a torrent and the path to Deia cove, a pleasant and undisturbed walk of about 15 minutes. It is a bucolic atmosphere, with donkeys and sheep. Next to the patio is the pool surrounded by stonewalls, with shades projected by the olive trees and a couple o kiwi trees.
The house is a white wash building with plenty of windows, each one with a delightful view. Has wooden floors inside, and good taste in the decoration with colourful walls. The ground floor has 2 bedrooms with double beds and a bathroom with shower. The first floor has a fireplace, a large dinner table, coaches and armchairs. The sitting room is equipped with a TV, a music set, and professional up right piano. Next is the kitchen, with a gas oven, dishes and all the things one can need to make a nice meal. A small terrace, which is very good for having breakfast overlooking the sea, is placed also in this first floor. A wide wooden staircase leads to a stylish room with a confortable Japanese futon bed, and in suite a bathroom with bath tub and shower. Next is a studio-library with plenty of art and literature books in Spanish, English and German, where one can relax lying in a Le Corbusier chaise longue looking to the terraces that progress to and blue visiting sea.

The mixture of astonishing but simple views, smells and sounds, the convenience of a pool and a garden, the privileged situation between the sea and the mountains and the nearby fascinating village of Deia, makes this romantic house unique in the North Coast of Majorca.

“Escape, wonder at the beauty, walk, relax and get fit, and play the piano,........”

Located far enough away from the heart of Deia, for those of you who are looking to escape, and enjoy a good walk to the local cafe's, restaurants and shops. If you have a car, its just a few minutes away, on foot 15-20 minutes for a fit adult. The beach is stony but atmospheric with 2 cafe/restaurants. The closest walk to and from the beach starts on a small lane, with a great modern "tea shop" to stop at on the way down, or up, selling very wholesome breakfasts and lunches, and winds down over the terraced landscape through rough footpaths, fine for fit adults, slightly challenging for children, older children (mine aged 10 and 13) were fine. If you have small children a car would be needed, and an alternative route makes the beach accessible entirely by road. For our family, this was a perfect retreat, plenty of inside space, plenty of private outside space, outside balcony, terrace, eating area at front and sun loungers at the poolside, a piano made good use of, the pool to cool off in or exercise/swim in, and a sense of connection with the local life, with the delightful jingling of sheep grazing aroundabouts. I maybe would not recommend this location for those with very young children, unless you are prepared to continually supervise (because of the swimming pool, and the pond in the front garden, and the many rooms, and windows to police within the property. We were met at the airport by the owner, who drove us to this property, and familiarised us with things, a great and helpful introduction to get our holiday started without stress. A good bus route means you can visit Valldemossa, and the sandy beach at Soller, and Palma is also possible. We enjoyed a great day out in Valldemossa, with a visit to Chopin's Valldemossa residences, and a Chopin piano recital. We plan to return to this property in the future, as it was ideal for us.

“Beautiful, large house on the edge of Deia”

Casa Blanca is a beautiful, large house on the edge of Deia. We were a group of 2 families with 7 people in total, including children which fitted us all in more than adequately. There are 3 double bedrooms and one single room which has 2 single beds if needed. The house feels very spacious and the garden and swimming pool are fantastic. Also, the views from the house are absolutely stunning; looking down to the sea and also to the mountains. It is a 20 minute walk into the centre of the village or 25 minute walk to the little, stony cove Cala Deia. (Beware of jelly fish though as a few of us got stung on the first day!) The only complaint would be that the house feels a little bit tired and needs a bit of care and attention. For example a properly working washing machine would have been good as would some new crockery, glasses, bedlinen and towels. However, the outside spaces and location easily made up for these oversights. Jose was a very attentive owner and was on hand by phone with any issues or questions we had. Thanks for a great stay!
