Description from owner

Description

A stylish 2 bedroom self-catering cottage in Dinan close to all the amenities in the port. We think it is best suited to a couple or a couple with 2 children.

This beautiful 2 bedroomed cottage has been furnished and decorated to a high standard. It is situated on the Lanvallay side of the river Rance a 1 minute walk over an ancient stone bridge to the lively restaurants in Dinan port.

The house has 3 floors, and comprises on the ground floor a well equipped kitchen diner and lounge with a dining table and seating that can accommodate 4 people. The lounge area is furnished with a sofa, club chairs, coffee table with a television, DVD player and satellite decoder. There are lovely views of the river Rance. The kitchen has a gas hob, extractor and fan oven, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, electric kettle, toaster, fridge and washing machine.

A spiral staircase leads up to a comfortable double bedroom with a sofa on the first floor. This room has a dual aspect and looks out over the river and has lovely views of the port.

Also on this level is a bathroom which includes a spacious shower, wc and washbasin.

The 2nd bedroom is further up via steep stairs. It is furnished with two single beds and has an ensuite bathroom with wc, washbasin and a small shower. It looks directly out over the port area and the river Rance. This is a historical property and some of the ceiling and the doorways have restricted height.

It is not suitable for people with limited mobility as there are steep stairs.

There is a small outside seating area accessed via a shared courtyard.

Property Features:

Two bedroomed cottage

It has central heating in all rooms.

Linen and towels are included in the rental pricel.

Free private and on-street parking available.

The Rue du Jerzual and Rue du Petit Fort leads up to the town of Dinan. Despite the steep ascent it is well worth the effort walking up to the town as the cobbled street is one of the most beautiful streets in Dinan, lined with medieval buildings, leading through one of the original city gates into the town.

“Delightful Cottage”

Reviewed 19 Oct 2016

A great deal of care and thought has gone into this charming cottage in Dinan port with superb view over the River Rance. and conveniently located near to restaurants. ideal for walking along tow path in both directions---we particularly enjoyed the walk to the village of Lehon with its fine monastery and cobbled streets. The uphill walks into the old walled city were also a delight, whichever route we chose. The kitchen was well equipped, and the downstairs sitting room extremely comfortable, as was the upstairs sofa, affording the best view of the river. Comfortable bed and heavenly white bedding, together with huge fluffy bath towels and great shower made our two week visit very enjoyable. Cath and John's warm welcome together with delicious gifts were greatly appreciated.. Loved Dinan and cant wait to return. Thank you Cath and John, we enjoyed meeting you

“A great local in a beautiful town.”

Reviewed 23 Sep 2016

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful them. Our apartment was well situated and well appointed - old and with character! Many thanks to Cath and John who made us feel welcome and we're happy to answer questions and provide local knowledge. Everything we needed was provided from kitchen to laundry to bed and bathrooms. Rooms were a little noisy as the apartment is situated on a busy corner but this didn't really worry us. Bedrooms were up narrow stairs so be prepared! Otherwise all was delightful and we had a lovely view of the river as well as use of a courtyard on the river. Thank you for a lovely two week stay, would definitely recommend and would love to return one day.
