Description

Garvies Beach is Durban’s best-kept secret destination. Its long pristine sandy beaches with perfect rolling waves are every holidaymaker’s dream. You can wander for hours in either direction and only meet the occasional fisherman following his family’s age-old tradition. Despite the old joke, “rough and tough on the Bluff”, Garvies is a safe beach and is always quiet, due to the difficult access and the lack of parking. From Garvies Surf House, however, there is a short walk down to the beach - a great option is the lookout deck directly above the famous Garvies surfing spot. The deck has a 180 degree sea view where you can sit in the sun watching the dolphins and whales play in the surf below.

Garvies Surf House is a double storey house featuring 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, inside and outside patio, bar, study and a splash pool. There is a single garage with direct access into the house and off-street parking for 2 cars. The 4th bedroom is a separate entity with en-suite bathroom and the villa can be rented with or without the use of this en-suite bedroom.

The villa includes uncapped Wi-Fi internet access, burglar alarm with panic buttons linked to armed response, weekly housekeeping service and Premium DSTV satellite television.

Bottom section contains:

Lounge with TV, DVD player and full satellite – sea views and air-conditioning.

Bar area next to the indoor patio – sea views.

Study with printer and internet (Wi-Fi throughout the house).

Indoor patio with sea views and retractable roof – 8 seat dining table.

Kitchen with full amenities and laundry with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Guest toilet.

Top section contains:

Bedroom 1 with king size bed, private lounge area, sea views, air-conditioning, walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom with shower.

Bedroom 2 with king size bed (can be separated into 2 singles), sea views, air-conditioning.

Bedroom 3 with queen size bed.

Bathroom shared between bedrooms 2 and 3 with bathtub and separate shower.

Outside:

Pool size 3m x 3m and 1.5m deep.

Outlook deck featuring 4 chairs and a loveseat swing.

Bedroom 4 with king size bed (can be separated into 2 singles), en-suite bathroom with shower, private entrance and sea views.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Esta-Marita (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
