Description

Traditional village house with up market accommodation. Near to Eleftherna museum. Within a very friendly village with tavernas and a mini market. Need a car, or bike to get around as its not got a regular bus service, except in morning and early afternoon. Very hilly so unless you are a very enthusiastic cyclist we can give you car hire details. Two recently renovated rooms with showers and all amenities. Clean double bed and a fold up bed for child or teenager. Fridge/cooler in rooms. Two additional bedrooms in main house. One with shower room, double bed and fold up bed for child or teenager. Additional bedroom shared family bathroom. With private verandah and roof access.

We have a pool available in summer and lilos and beach towels are provided free. Loungers and outside eating space also available.

Getting around

The new museum has recently opened in the village so there's plenty to see. This is a traditional village where life is at a different pace to the areas of Crete near to the beach. The villagers are friendly and welcoming and if you show an interest in them they will be pleased to chat to you. Maybe not in your language, but you will manage to communicate with them. I have never found a nicer or friendlier group of people than those in the village which we are proud to be a part of. You won't want to leave.

Interaction with guest

We like guests to have their own space but we are on site to help with any problems, translations and interesting places to visit. You'll get your own key on arrival and can come and go as you please. We have a garden which you can use. There's a BBQ but expect you to clean it after use. We like meeting people but are unobtrusive and we'll be here if you need us. You'll have tea and coffee making facilities in your room and a wine cooler for anything you need to keep cool. We have most of the stuff you need if you forget chargers or beach towels. We speak English and a bit of Greek.

Guests can smoke on verandas, or in garden area but not in the rooms.
Clean bedding and towels are provided on request.
Books, CD's, DVD's, games, Wii machine and television available on request.
No cooking facilities in rooms but there is a kettle and a fridge.
No parties but guests can use garden and BBQ if they keep area clean and don't disturb other guests, or the village.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Julie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
