Description

When a project has been a labour of love it becomes hard to describe to others. The Farm House is a two story A frame with a walk out basement that was built around 1990. We developed it into two suites about 1500 square feet in size. The Upper has a very big kitchen with an island and the lower suite has a kitchenette as their is a small convection oven and hot plate, instead of a conventional oven. Both have good size bathrooms, common area's, screened in sunrooms with all the comforts for a wonderful vacation. I hope the pictures give a clear picture of the accommodations. Our goal was always to provide beds that our guests did not want to climb out of in the morning as they were so comfortable. We thrive to ensure that we keep an extremely high level of cleanliness so our guests would never have to wonder. That requires every piece of bedding being washed including duvet, pillow, mattress, cupboard, kitchen appliances. Nothing gets left scrutinized. We want our guests to feel that they are coming to their favourite Aunt and Uncle's farm but have their own accommodation's. I am often told that is exactly how our guests feel and we are so incredibly grateful when our guests come year after year. We would love to have you come and see for yourself. It is a beautiful vacation spot for those that love nature.

Getting around

A vehicle is essential to staying at our vacation rentals as we are in the country 5 minute drive from town. One could easily walk the 4.87 km but I would not recommend coming on holiday without a vehicle as you would miss out on so much of what there is to see in the area. Enderby is centralized between Armstrong/Vernon/Kelowna on the 97 A highway and the other direction enroute to highway one via 97 B highway Kamloops. So perfect area to do day excursions either direction. Plus easy access to Revelstoke which is an hour and about 15 minutes from our property. One does need to keep in mind summer road construction and plan accordingly if having to be at a specific place at a specific time.

Interaction with guest

It is a rare occasion that there is not someone on the property to assist guests when required. We are only a phone call away and as the guest house is on the other side of the property from our residence help is close at hand.

You did an amazing job the ponies loved you! I cannot wait for all of you to come back it is going to be so much fun. Booking issues transpire when having multiple sites and thus we tend to lean towards those that provide us with easy hosting support via phone. Advice I would give hosts is to constantly check the calendars are properly syncing between sites and this is the main reason I do not use instant book on this site. Alia, see you soon my friend and looking forward to many more hours of fun with ponies!

Owner's reply: Elio and Anne were great to have on the property. It made me smile when I went to see if they needed anything to find them cuddled up on the outdoor lounge furniture in front of the fireplace. Elio and Anne all wrapped up in the blankets we provide for those cooler evening lounging on the outdoor furniture in front of the fireplace reading a book. They looked so relaxed and content it made me smile. We often forget why people come to this area and it is so much fun to share what we far to often take for granted something as simple as a wiener roast by a tranquil lake. We love this area and all it has to offer so getting the chance to share is always a blessing. There is so much to do here in all seasons and the off seasons can be a wonderful time of year to come visit if boating on the water is not always your forte then it is the perfect time of year. If you mountain bike, cross country ski, snow shoe, down hill ski, snowmobile or ice fish winter risk a wonderful time of year to come and visit as we generally have mild winters that make being out side very enjoyable. Or, as Elio states just grab a bottle of wine and unwind. Elio I truly hope you come back for that snowmobile holiday we will make sure you are connected with the right guides and equipment to have a wonderful holiday experience. Until next time.

Owner's reply: Elisha and her extended family were so much fun. The kids were entertainment in themselves, never seen that many back flips across a lawn ever,lol. They were Quite the little gymnasts. It was also fun to watch how excited the children were to watch the frogs and turtles in the little pond by the farm house. When we started this adventure we did not think how others would view our spaces. We built them with what would make us feel at home so that our guests would feel like they were going to visit their favourite Aunt and Uncle,lol. The good news is that is exactly what seems to be transpiring as we too look forward to the next year wondering how much the children have grown and changed. Jody has been coming here for quite some time and the thing we love most about operating our vacation rentals is the people who we have met over the last seven years since we started. Jody and her husband Drew first started coming here years ago when we had just the cabin for rent. Then it was the Farm House Lower Suite and this year it was the Farm House Upper Suite. This year was our first year of operating as a Vacation rental instead of a bed and breakfast facility. We decided to change due to rising food costs and with renovations completed our guests have either full kitchens or kitchenette's that allow them to be self sufficient where meal planning is concerned. I am very happy to say the feed back has been very positive so we will continue as we are and with great reviews such as these we hope to have the pleasure of meeting many more people from around the world. I cannot express enough how wonderful the people who have come to our place have been over the last seven years !! I have had the pleasure of meeting people from all walks of like, many different European countries the United States and Canada. All have been so wonderfully engaging and the stories that have been told have enriched my husbands and my life. Jody I so look forward to the next visit!!! To top it off I love the looks on our guests faces when we tell them to help themselves to the organic apples, plums, cherries, and black berries that grow in multitudes on our property. Why can't I call Carol (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Carol (the owner) a message.

If Carol (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
