Description

A ten minute walk from the harbor and the beach, located in the popular district of Chbanat living in the heart of the medina, the Baraka is a traditional house that will seduce you with its simplicity.

Saida welcome you and give you the keys to this house completely independent.

Located in a dead end, the house is built on 3 floors and offers four bedrooms on two separate floors (two rooms per floor) allowing some privacy.

On the ground floor you have a kitchen, living room and toilet, the spiral staircase overlooks two bedrooms on the first floor where there is also the bathroom (shower)

a bedroom with a double bed (8m2)

then the 2nd floor terrace, kitchenette on the landing off the staircase, toilet and 2 bedrooms, one ground floor (9m2 double) on the other an outside staircase leads to it is a small bedroom (4m2 single bed) very popular with children.

Note two additional roof terraces of the rooms (access to the ladder and with caution).

It is a traditional house with floor-tile floors and walls whitewashed, the furniture is simple, benches, stools and coffee tables, carpets, kilims arnif mostly adorn the walls of the rooms.

The house has an open skylight on the sky and with no heating, provide a polar because evenings can be chilly.

A small sound system 2 * 35W and some books are also available.

Saida will also provide you with valuable services such as shopping, food, household ...

For support and a taxi transport from an airport in the area, please let me know the demand.

With a capacity of 8 people the house has 10 beds available (two benches in the living room)

The house is rented from 32 euros per day the first week, then 5 € per additional passenger.

A wifi hotspot (rechargeable card on sale at tobacconists) is available.

An increase of 50% applies to the period of year-end holidays and during the Gnaoua festival

the neighborhood

My area is popular and lively, the children play in the street and there are plenty of small shops, tailors, grocers, hairdressers, some craftsmen but is far from the tourist arteries and bustle of the big bazaars. We're in a modest neighborhood of Essaouira which combines in a cordial atmosphere natives, Berber and nearby tourist guesthouses that have mushroomed in the area in recent years.

Being at a dead end, passing in the street around noon you'll probably see at the entrance of the houses, the coal that burns in braziers; here will prepare a good tagine beldi or grilled fish.

The medina is small and its urban plan dating from the eighteenth century it is almost impossible to get lost, the two main streets intersect and form a cross whose center is the souk; however, consider taking some benchmarks during your first outings of the house because there are only two entry doors in the street, one Ibn Khaldun Street leads to the souks, the other Chbanat street in Bab Doukkalah.

The souks are close and three hammams.

Transportation

between the big city connections are made by bus or taxi essentially large and bus station to bus station.

The most comfortable bus company to reach Essaouira is Supratours, 4 departures / day from the ONCF train station in Marrakech, Bab Marrakech arrival to Souira, Saida can pick you up there.

For support and a taxi transport from the region's airport (Marrakech, Agadir, Essaouira), please let me know the demand.

The bus station is a 10 minute walk, taxis will lead you to 10DH. For luggage, there is the "Carossa", men often older, push a cart in front of them, this is a common means of transport in the medina because the streets are narrow.

Rural bus links found for dra Had souk, Ounara, Sidi Kaouki ... A Bab Doukkalah there is a bus stop for links to the south, the number 5 you enmène in Sidi Kaouki for example.

For those arriving with their vehicle, covered and guarded parking is available near my neighborhood in Bab Doukkalah, count 2 Euros per day.
