Description

Imagine waking up to the sunrise over Old Mill Creek waterfall with coffee/tea in hand and a view of colorful reflections as the wildlife play in the water. In the winter months, cuddle up on the couch in front of the cozy wood stove or grab a mug of cocoa and watch your kids sled down the Flory Park hill. In the warmer months, stroll out the backdoor with your family to play in the backyard (historic ping pong table that promotes picnicking as well, horseshoes, & croquet available), paddle up the creek or take a walk in the park that connects to the property via the private footbridge over the babbling brook...A campfire is always a great way to enjoy time together, but ample space in the historic 1860s farmhouse has 2 full apartments within that allow the introverts a place to call home within the home. We have hosted many families and love seeing the pure joy of running in the rain, playing games in the living rooms, bird watching and pups playing and we have been overwhelmed by the respect that people have shown the 1860s Waterfall Retreat, as she requires gentle treatment in her older age.

A car is preferable, Uber is readily available if you arrive by train or plane and Lyft is also just coming into the area. Bicycling and kayaking or canoeing are fun ways to explore around the house if you wanted!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Suzi (the owner) a message.

If Suzi (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
