Description

Cat's Meow Retreat is a private and self-contained modern style suite inside of a 3 storey house located within walking distance of the Langdale Ferry Terminal. In the lovely town of Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast of BC, it is only a 40 min ferry ride from West Vancouver. Along with fantastic views of Howe Sound it offers many great features such as hot tub for your private use only, electric fireplace, electric car charger, keyless entry and much more.

Other things to note:

1. There is a new house construction commencing on the lot next door on May 28, 2018. A construction company informed us that the work will rarely take place on the weekends and their regular schedule is between 8am and 4:30pm. Rates have been lowered to reflect this work.

2. Sorry but we do not accept bookings from smokers due to health issues.

3. Please provide the following information when booking our suite: who you are, who you are traveling with, where you are coming from and what brings you to the area. For security reasons, we won’t accept any bookings without the above information. Thank you.

Getting around

We have BC Transit bus stops near the house. Both buses do pick ups at the ferry terminal and take you all the way to Sechelt. Bus # 90: Sechelt-Gibsons/Langdale Ferry Express. The bus stop is only 2 min walk to North Rd. Also Bus # 1: Sechelt-Gibsons/Langdale Ferry, which is a local bus and the stop is just down on Marine Dr (only 10min walk). Why can't I call Irina (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Irina (the owner) a message.

If Irina (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
