Welcome to the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Deer Lodge with private hot tub and panoramic mountain views as far as you can see up and down the valley. Set in 68 acres of unspoilt property, there are beautiful horses in fields in front of you and acres of fir trees behind you eventually leading to the magnificent Mount 7, but only 7km south of Golden, in the Rocky Mountains. The lodge is located a short drive from Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and ideally situated for visiting Yoho, Lake Louise, Revelstoke, Glacier and Kootenay National Parks.

Built in 2005, the Deer Lodge was purpose built to provide luxury holiday accommodation for couples, small groups or families. We continually update, replace and renovate to keep the lodge looking like new and ask all our guests for feedback. There is a cathedral ceiling with one king bedroom (can be split into 2 singles) and a full bath including deep soaker tub and shower upstairs and a bathroom with shower downstairs. Both ensuite.

Full kitchen, dining table area, HDTV with 100+ channels, DVD player, books, board games, local information and helpful owners on site.

Don’t forget the private hot tub on your own private deck to soak and view the sunset and stars. A gas grill with free propane completes the picture.

House rules

There is an extra cleaning fee for pets. Please let us know ahead of time if you are bringing a pet to the lodge with you.
We are first and foremost a place to enjoy the peace and quiet. Therefore outside music is not allowed and shouting and yelling is also not tolerated. Guests that book are asked if they have read the house rules before accepting and any guests not adhering to these rules will be asked to leave with no refund.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Jo-Anne (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jo-Anne (the owner) a message.

If Jo-Anne (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
