Description

Our vacation home is the perfect place for you to enjoy your Muskoka Vacation! Enjoy access to all of the top-notch resort amenities (during the May to October months) while staying in your own private cottage. Play a round of golf, have a swim at the beach or in the pools, and end the day with a barbeque and bonfire. Come and stay with us for the perfect blend of rustic Muskoka, and luxury living

Our cottage is a Townhouse in the Taboo Resort and Golf club. My wife and I have spent lots of time crafting our cottage to display our childlike personalities, with unique accents and decors that make our space uniquely ours. The common theme of Muskoka living is highlighted in our furniture, with an immaculate wooden table being the centrepiece of the space, and wooden bowls, lamps and other pieces of furniture which are made from Canadian lumber. Pictures and paintings of the nearby wildlife are scattered throughout our house, especially deer and bears. The firepit on the back patio is a perfect spot for making smores and listening to music.

The living room is a space to unwind after a long day of fun outside. A Sharp LED 70" Television is equipped with Cable TV and a selection of DVD movies. The couch is very comfortable, and perfect to enjoy the warmth of the fireplace beside it.

The kitchen is complete with high-end appliances and fixtures, including a gas range, a stainless steel oven, fridge with an ice-maker, a sink with an instant hot-water maker, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, and all of the cutlery is provided.

The master bedroom makes for a great nights rest, with a king bed and a Sterns and Foster mattress, along with a lovely ensuite bathroom.

The rest of the three bedrooms follow their own distinct feel each having very comfortable beds (Stears and Foster/Sealy). The "blue room" has a distinct sea vibe, which reminded us of the nearby beach. This room has a king bed and a lie-flat bed which can be used as a bed, and there is a large walk-in closet. The "travellers room" has a cosy Queen bed and many travel inspired pictures on the walls such as canoes and maps. The "golfers room" has a king bed with a futon next to it which can also be used as a bed. The decor is golf inspired since there are many great golf courses in the vicinity. The upstairs washroom is very spacious and includes a sauna which is perfect after a round of golf or a snowy day in the winter. There is also a half-bath on the main floor.

The house comes equipped with Wi-fi, Sonos surround sound, cable for each TV, air conditioning, heating, and a home alarm system. Our house has lots for you to offer, and we hope you can use all of it's features to the fullest!

Getting around

The most convenient way to get around is by car since public transit does not reach our place. You can also get around by bike as the town of Gravenhurst is a 20-minute ride and bikes are complimentary. Only a 7-minute drive away is the town of Gravenhurst, an authentically Muskokan town with great dining, nightlife and attractions for anyone to enjoy. A must do whilst in Gravenhurst is to pay a visit to the Bakery. As the name suggests, the Bakery offers baked goods, pies and breads. This third generation bakery offers some of the best delicacies around. Among one of my families favourites, a 10-minute drive away is the Muskoka Drive-In Theatre, showcasing the latest movies along with a weekend-only Barbeque, great snacks and fair prices.

Interaction with guest

I won't be available to greet you in person as I live outside of Gravenhurst, however, check-in is via keypad and I am accessible by phone, text, email, video calling and through the messaging tool on the app. Furthermore, the site superintendent will be there to assist you if necessary.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
