Description

Located in the center of the quaint historical village of Guéméne sur scorff (and right next door to our own restaurant Aux Sabots Rouges), this beautiful 17thC house has been restored with huge amounts of dedication and care to offer a luxurious holiday space. Surrounded by the local bars & restaurants, boulangeries, shops, banks & supermarkets, this is a perfect place for couples, families (4yrs and up- children must be confident to walk up and down stairs independently), and small groups who would like a getaway and enjoy the option of being close to amenities & with plenty of options to explore the countryside & coast.

Guest who book with us receive 20% discount on Brittany Ferries.

The main house comfortably sleeps up to 5 people, and with the option of one additional person sleeping in a separate studio.

On the ground floor is the main sitting room with large leather sofas, UK TV, french free view, a dvd playe, music system and restored fireplace; joining onto a well-appointed kitchen with dishwasher, butlers sink, electric oven, gas hobs & long antique wooden table with plenty of room for group meals. The double glass doors give a feeling of space and opens out onto a small stylish balcony.

The main bedroom is located on the first floor & sleeps two -one king size or two singles- is light and spacious, with a mini library and looks out onto the main street. Also located on the first floor is a main luxurious bathroom, with a large shower, an original cast iron bath and heated towel rail.

The top 2nd floor is open planned & bright with the option of one king size or two singles at one end; and at the opposite end the option of a quiet sitting space with views over the back of the village - or - convert the double sofa into a double bed making the possibility for another room for one (it is possible for two people to sleep in this bed).

Facing the main house is a small tranquil studio for yoga/ mediation/ movement/ music/reading and with the possibility of sleeping one extra person in a fold out bed.

Set behind the studio are two private gardens with extra outdoor seating and a bbq.

“Rustic Retreat”

Situated in the quaint little village of Guemene this fully contained accommodation has a rustic feel with modern conveniences for comfort and pleasure. We had a great stay here and were very impressed with the decor and management of this gite. Next door is the Sabot Rouge Restaurant and Bar which we frequented as the food is delicious. Totally recommend a stay here.

How do damage deposits work?
