Halfmoon Haven Beachfront Cottage is a gem for families or friends looking for an idyllic West Coast getaway. Nestled in the heart of Halfmoon Bay on Welcome Beach, you will sleep to the sounds of the waves and wake up to the songs of the Eagles. Explore nature at your door, or put your feet up and relax on the deck, as you watch your kids and fur babies play on the beach, only a few feet away. We provide the BBQ, and board games, hot tub and a sand court, you create the memories to last.

The space

With tropical landscaping, a full-size sand sports court, beach chairs and our therapeutic hot tub, Halfmoon Haven offer all our guests a rare opportunity to truly rest, relax and rejuvenate, Sunshine Coast style.

Ocean views by day. Sunset and star-gazing by night.

Childrens’ play area, rope swing and beach toys.

Resident wildlife: eagles, blue herons, loons, ravens, dolphins, otters, orca whales, etc…

This homey 1300 sq. ft. beach cottage has 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and full kitchen/laundry amenities. Situated literally steps from the beach, this is your perfect beach retreat. With its cosy couches, warm atmosphere and simple luxuries, you will find the cottage has all that you need for a natural getaway.

We welcome groups of all kinds, families, children and yes, we do accommodate fur babies / well-behaved pets.

We have 2 rental units on the property:

The Beach Cottage (self-contained on the lower part of the property) and

The Deluxe Suite (a 2000 sq ft self-contained top floor unit of the Main House). Each unit has their own deck, ocean views, BBQ, kitchen, laundry, private entrance and living space, and access to onsite amenities.

All guests have access to property amenities: sand court, hot tub (in the middle of the property), beach toys and water sports equipment such as floats, boogie boards, skim boards and more.

Free parking, high-speed internet, and access to onsite spa and chef services.

Interaction with guests

Your hosts Chris and Jenn welcome you to this rare gem of a place, your Sunshine Coast home away from home.

We want you to feel comfortable in your space, and we deeply respect every guest's privacy. We make ourselves or one of our team members available to you by phone or in person, always being respectful of your space, as we would our neighbours.

Once you have confirmed your dates with us, you will receive a Welcome Package with additional options for your stay, directions, check-in instructions and important details. If you have questions, one of our team members will be available to assist you by phone, in person, or by email.

Other things to note

We are currently working on supporting our guests with a robust set of options, additional local attractions and activity ideas while you are visiting the Sunshine Coast. Details should be available in your unit. If you need any recommendations for restaurants, shops or hikes we will be happy to share our favourites.

Best to have a car. There is a public bus that stops at the top of the driveway, however it runs quite infrequently.

Why can't I call the property manager before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
