Looking for a quiet romantic lakeside cottage with a hot tub and fireplace? An intimate adult's only getaway in Ontario? That's what we offer here at The Eagle's Nest. Nestled in a majestic wooded, gated entry, adult only, private slice of heaven, is our newly renovated, romantic couples paradise. With a two night minimal weekend package, we are the perfect getaway for special occasions, such as an anniversary or a honeymoon.

The Eagle's Nest has a heart-stirring panoramic West facing view of Koshlong Lake. Which allows you to watch the sunset from your hot tub on your private deck, that also houses a Commercial Grade Crown Verity BBQ, with a built in water tray to keep your meat tender and steamed, which is beneficial for the Chef in you! located 3 miles from the main highway on a year round maintained gravel cottage road hemmed in by backwoods. We recommend all wheel drive or 4x4 vehicles only from November through April as we are in the snowbelt making this the Perfect Winter Wonderland Location!

Once inside you will see our professional interior designer has made this open concept kitchen/dining room, one bedroom accommodation flow gracefully into one.  Let's not forget amenities such as a wide variety of seasonings, gas fireplace, a 55" flat screen smart TV, a kicking sound system that is sure to get your heart pumping.  Beautiful imported hardwood flooring, granite counter tops, commercial grade stainless steel fridge, range and temperature controlled wine cooler decorate the kitchen area. In the bedroom you will be cozy in the  Queen size mahogany sleigh bed while watching a movie on a flat screen TV. By opening the French doors, you can enjoy the fresh cottage country air. The Eagle's Nest is the highest desired pinnacle point with views that will leave you in awe, the most romantic cottage in Haliburton, leaving your neighbors in envy and the only 4 acre property with 400 ft of available waterfront access. The only cottage on the east shoreline with a large Three tier/level oasis that encompasses 2 bays and 1 point, a weed-free swimming area that is over 20 ft deep, perfect for diving, if you own your own boat or decide to rent a jet ski from us at Back Country Tours.. A new driveway, on the south side of the property, designed for all wheel or 4x4 drive convenient for a picnic, wood for the lakeside fire pit, water toys and cooler transportation. Your own private dock with a span of 200 ft of shoreline between docks. We are over 380 ft from our closest neighbours dock. Full access to the cottage and waterfront. Public boat launch 2 accesses within 17 minutes away. Large Dock, 16x20, with tie-up for your boat. Access to a shared canoe with lifejackets and the Circle fire pit.

Beautiful waterfront access to your own private dock. Go swimming in deep water off the end of the dock, ladder available on the other side. THE DOCK AND CANOE ARE REMOVED BY OCT 1 AND IN THE WATER FOR MAY LONG WEEKEND.

With two cottages, each unique in architecture, atmosphere and charm: The Eagle's Nest and the Sugar Shack . The Eagle's Nest, with a propane fireplace that turns on with a click of a button, has a West view of the lake while our second cottage, The Sugar Shack, with an indoor wood burning fireplace (wood is provided by us from September through May) facing South has a forest view only 250 ft away with a curtain of hardwood pine forest, giving both cottages plenty of privacy. The common area is a great place to mingle with the other cottagers, if you wish. Enjoy an epic bonfire, complements of your gracious host, for you to join or choose to have a private fire with your partner at The Eagle's Nest.

 We offer a perfect couple getaway for honeymooners, outdoor enthusiasts, and power sport lovers. Bring your own toys or rent them from us; we deliver, or join us on a guided 2-hour adrenaline rush or 4-hour epic adventure at our Dwight location. We are ranked #1 Off-road experience on Tripadvisor in Ontario. A Must Do! We offer a midweek couples ATV adventure rental package during October and November, 2 ATV's with 8 hours rental duration, where you can get to meet your host. Please leave the cottage as you find it. No early arrivals. This is extremely important for privacy reasons. Do not enter the gates to the cottage until 4pm on wards. NO Smoking, pets, no kids or extra guest.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Dudley (the owner) a message.

If Dudley (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
