Welcome to your own Private Home in central Downtown Hamilton! All comforts are here for you to enjoy. Spacious rooms offer you relaxation. Enjoy a peaceful treed deck. Walk everywhere to downtown Hamilton's restaurants, pubs, galleries, and Go train station. You are RIGHT in the middle of a great city! But in a peaceful, spacious, well-equipped and beautiful home.

The home has old world charm: Exposed brick walls in the master bedroom and bathroom. Tall 10 foot ceilings, large windows, and large trim. The master bedroom has a sparkling chandelier, exposed brick, wardrobe, a queen sized bed, nightstands, and comforts like tissues and hand cream.

The second bedroom is small, and has a set of bunk beds, both single beds, large dresser, full closet, reading lights, and nightstand with drawers. The window faces the private treed yard. The room is small.

Add bedding is soft and luxurious. Towels are fluffy. Duvet covers on your choice of down or fill keep everything fresh and soft. Mattresses are quality and comfortable.

The bathroom is spacious with exposed beams and expanded ceiling. The large soaker tub is perfect for relaxing, or there is a waterfall shower. We are happy to provide you with all washroom conveniences.

The backyard is for your own private use. It is a large deck with comfortable seating and a table for el fresco dining. It is fully fenced. A BBQ and propane tank await you. There are trees and birds, and is surprisingly peaceful for being right in central downtown.

There is a living room with TV, free WiFi internet, Blu-Ray entertainment streamer, and a comfortable sofa that pulls out in to a double bed to sleep two people. The TV stand is filled with goodies like books, children's toys, games, and cards.

The kitchen has a table that seats six people, microwave, full stove and oven, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, pots and pans, coffee, tea, sodas, and supplies you may need for cooking (utensils, dishes, cups, can opener, salt and pepper, etc). Plus a some extras!

The entire home and private large yard is yours to enjoy.

We believe in treating our guests like royalty, so please call/SNS/email/text me if there is anything I can do or get for you, or to help you with travel plans or local information.

We will be over promptly if there is anything you need. Otherwise, you will have total privacy and quiet.

Your home is right in central downtown Hamilton. The neighborhood and surrounding area is safe. You can easily walk to the Hamilton Art Gallery, the Sheraton Hamilton Hotel, lively Hess Village's many restaurants, pub, and music bars, trendy boutique shopping on Locke Street and James Street North, Nation's Fresh Foods grocery store (large and with great prices), Hamilton Farmer's Market, FirstOntario Centre, Hamilton Public Library, the YMCA, Victoria Park, and many varied restaurants. The Hamilton Go train station, connecting you to Toronto, Niagara, or Barrie, can be walked to in 15 minutes, or is a short bus, Uber, or taxi ride away. You are one block away from the city's bus network, taking 15 minutes to McMaster University main campus, or to the many hiking and biking trails around the area.

Take your pick of restaurants, from Thai to Mediterranean to late-night shawarma to classic Canadian goodies.

Getting around

You can walk around to see the area. Major bus routes are one block away from the home. A fifteen minute walk brings you to the Hamilton Go station, from where buses and trains connect you to all over Southern Ontario.

Interaction with guest

We are a local family and are close by in case you may need anything or any help. Please feel free to contact me if I can help you with anything, including travel plans. The entire home is private and is yours for your entire stay. The home is accessed by an electronic keypad, and I will give you the door code prior to your stay. So can come and go as you like. We love travelling ourselves and love meeting other travelers, so if you would like to meet up for a coffee or a beer, or to hike on the trails, please just let us know.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Barbara (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
