Just renovated 3 bedroom log home. 2 decks overlooking the lake and a private dock. 2 bathrooms, open kitchen to family room with fireplace and TV. Just a 20 minute drive to downtown Halifax or head the other way and you are in Peggy's Cove. Very private lot and perfect for a family or 2 couples. An extra bed can be added to sleep 6. WIFI is included. Minimum 2 night stay required. Discounted weekly rates. You will enjoy this central location to travel across Nova Scotia. There are 2 kayaks to enjoy and a floating island to swim off. Renly House is a pine Pan Abode home that was built in 1972. It has been recently updated but still contains much of the rustic charm of homes built in the 1970’s. The home is located on Hatchet Lake; a spring fed lake that is home to a variety of fish and ducks. While sitting on the deck or dock in the morning or evening, the loons will provide you with a lovely musical backdrop. You may even experience a visit from the local cat, Arya, who lives with us next door but enjoys the great outdoors.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If John (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
