Description

Swagat, meaning 'Welcome' in all Sanskrit-based languages, is a modern & spacious self-catering chalet on the Gary Player designed golf resort. Located minutes from the world famous Kruger National Park and with easy access to the Blyde River Canyon and the Panorama Route, Swagat is your ideal holiday location. With no chalets on either side of us, Swagat is an oasis from the bustle of everyday life.

Our unit has 3 bedrooms: two bedrooms are located downstairs while the third is upstairs. The master bedroom downstairs has an extra long king bed while the other two rooms have two singles each. The upstairs master bedroom has a private balcony overseeing the resort and the dramatic Drakensberg Mountains. All bedrooms have block out curtains, air-conditioning, ceiling fans and mosquito netting on the widows.

We have an open plan living and dining room with updated furnishings along with a fully furnished kitchen. If you want, you can also use the outside braai/bbq on our large deck as you enjoy the sunsets. The unit has a dishwasher and is serviced daily so you do not have to worry about clean up. If you are not in the mood to cook, treat yourself to one of the many local restaurants that cater to all tastes and diets.

Families traveling with children will appreciate that one of three swimming pools on the resort is very close to our unit. Children can also easily be entertained by the mini-golf, tennis courts and kids' playground. the whole family can also spend time at the hippo hide and observe these marvelous creatures.

Most importantly, Swagat offers you the chance to self-drive into the Kruger Park and enjoy the safari of your dreams. We provide helpful self-drive safari tips as well as recommendations for safari tour operators who can take you on guided drives.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Heeten (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
