Description

Chalet 226a, named Shongwe Ingwe, is located within the Kruger Park Lodge, 4 star Golf Resort in the town of Hazyview, Mpumalanga.

This compact self catering chalet has beds for 8 people (not 4 couples) but is equally comfortable for a small family or two families to share, making it most economical.

DOWNSTAIRS: Main bedroom with king size bed, bathroom -bath, toilet and basin. Aircon, fans, cupboards.

Second bedroom - queen bed. Bathroom - shower, toilet and basin. Aircon, fans, cupboards.

Kitchen- well equipped with Dishwasher, Fridge/freezer, Microwave, Stove and oven, fantastic selection of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery for self catering purposes.

Patio area enlarged for even more comfort. Table, 8 chairs and 2 loungers as well as built in braai.

UPSTAIRS: Large open plan room with twin beds and bunk bed.The bunk bed is only suitable for youngsters as they cannot take the weight of adults. Bathroom with shower, double basin and toilet. ceiling fans, Tv, a balcony overlooking the wooded garden and is a firm favourite with the youngsters. Ceiling fans, cupboards.

The linen and towels, crockery and cutlery are constantly updated ensuring that our guests feel relaxed and welcome

The daily rate includes all linen, towels, VAT and a daily cleaning service.

Parking for one car directly outside the chalet.

The Resort has many facilities including a fully equipped self service laundry, restaurant, three swimming pools, tennis courts, outdoor chess, trampolines, mini golf and a wonderful Gary Player Golf course. The resident Impala will keep you feeling calm and relaxed. The Hippo Hide is something so special as one can watch the hippos frolicking in the water and see a large selection of birds. 226a, Shongwe Ingwe is set in magnificent gardens which attracts birds, insects and monkeys. One cannot help feeling tranquil.

This award winning Golf Resort is located close to all tourist attractions. It is a short 10 minute drive to the Phabeni Gate into the famous Kruger Park. It is also in close proximity to the Sabi Sands Private game reserves.

The owners of 226a, Shongwe Ingwe rent out several other chalets in this fine RCI Golf Resort, so feel free to apply for a quotation for additional chalets, even if the calendar states we are fully booked.

Getting around

It is advisable to hire a car from one of the airports. We are also able to suggest various excellent Safari Tour Operators who can assist with half or full day tours into the Kruger Park should you not want to self drive. Driving within the Kruger National Park is very easy and user friendly. You may purchase a road map from the entry gate into the Park.

Interaction with guest

The owner of this chalet does not reside in the Resort or town of Hazyview. Once the guest has confirmed and paid in full, a letter of confirmation with a reservation number will be sent to the guest. The letter must be handed in to the receptionist of the Kruger Park Lodge Hotel who will hand over the keys of the chalet. A private cell number will be given to guests should they need the owners assistance at anytime. The guest has use of all the facilities within the Resort. Golf is charged as an extra fee. The hotel offers data bundles for WIFI at an additional cost. Our suggestion is to take your own router with data bundle. There is good coverage in the chalet for both wifi and cell.

House rules

Chalet Shongwe Ingwe, 226a, is suitable for 8 guests. The bunk beds are not suitable for adults. The chalet is most suitable for 6 adults and 2 youngsters.
As this is a nature resort, the management of the Kruger Park Lodge have their own rules and one of them is a strict noise policy after 8pm.
A minimum stay of 3 nights is required over any South African Long weekend, public holiday, school holiday or during July & Dec. Special consideration will be given to anyone who needs a shorter stay.
