Experience the thrill of glamping outdoors surrounded by mountains just a mile from the base of the Gates of the Mountains Wilderness. With all of the amenities of a comfortable camping vacation. Enjoy the sounds of the coyotes howling or watch the Deer and Elk stroll by. With nearly a million acres of national forestland the outdoor experiences are limitless. Fishing in the Missouri River just a couple miles away. Creeks along the road to the north that leads to the Missouri have fish galore. Hiking, mountain biking or horseback riding in the Gates of the Mountains Wilderness. Hiking to Devils Tower and other popular places. Hunting in the Fall. This area is perfect for those wanting the benefits of a National Forest without the multitude of people that are usual at the more publicized National Parks and Forests.

Tucked away among Ponderosa Pine you can enjoy solitude in your 22 foot glamping tipi. A wood stove to take the chill out of those cool Montana nights. A handmade rock fire ring outside the tipi to enjoy with your family and friends. A private bathroom with shower is provided for each tipi. An outdoor propane and charcoal Bar B Que to make your favorite meals. Each kitchen area is supplied with table settings and cooking utensils to make you packing and planning easier. Because there is a drive to town for supplies I do provide a shopping service. Please send a list of needed items in advance so your kitchen can be stocked when you get here.

Our family’s ranch is located completely within the Helena National Forest. Cattle graze in the pastures surrounding the ranch summer long. Our family ranch and the surrounding area is a designated elk wintering area. You are likely to find herds of deer and elk. A ten point elk is known to graze at the north of the property due to the lack of predators (people). You might also find Big Horned Sheep and bald eagles on your hikes through the area. Sit on your chairs with a cup of coffee or tea in the morning. Enjoy a glass of wine while enjoying Montana's Big Sky on the front a fire and listen to the coyotes howl at night.

Getting around

There are a lot of forest roads to explore. I suggest driving slow on the forest roads. I'm always surprised at the places I find. The maintained roads are pretty good. Just remember you're in a forest. No paved roads here. Most of the areas you will want to visit are off Beaver Creek Road or Nelson Road. Both are not far away. If you have issues finding a place I will be happy to show you there. There are 3 roads leading to the glamp. One really bad. And 2 not so bad. Again, I'll be happy to guide you. Just drive slow. I get tourists by my place all the time. If you choose to bring your horse they are allowed on most trails.

Interaction with guest

I'm am at the glamp most of the time. I only go to town for shopping. If you need anything when I'm in town I'll be happy to pick it up for you.

How do damage deposits work?
