Description

The Bushbabies is an elite luxury upmarket three bedroom, six sleeper self-catering lodge situated on the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate and overlooking the green belt. We provide our guests with complimentry tea, coffee, creamer, sugar and milk together with rusks. Complimentry ice-cold bottled water is also supplied for each guest. For your convenience slippers are provided as well as bathroom accessories.

The lodge is tastefully furnished and all the rooms have both ceiling fans and air conditioners. They all enjoy the uninterrupted view of the beautiful African bush.

Each bedroom has a superior queen size bed to ensure a comfortable night's sleep.The bedrooms all have en suite bathrooms with shower, toilet and washbasin.

The kitchen boasts a stove, oven and microwave. There is also a large double door fridge/freezer, toaster and kettle as well as an exceptionally well equiped kitchen.There is also a seperate dining room.

Relax in the lounge where you can select from our fiction and non-fiction books or watch a program on the selective DSTV.

The Bushbabies is the ideal base from which to explore the many attractions in the area, such as the Endangered Species Centre, Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre, Khamai Reptile Park and world famous Jessica hippo, to name but a few. The lodge is just 40 minute drive to the Kruger National Park and a leisurely hours drive to the Panoramic route, which includes the Three Rondawels, Blyde River Canyon, which is the third largest canyon in the world, Bourke's Luck Potholes, God's Window, The Pinnacle as well as a numbers of spectacular water-falls. We can organize all your local tours to any of these and many other attractions, including the experience of a hot-air balloon ride.

At the end of a hectic day you can cool off in the pool. Later you can sit on your deck with your sundowner and watch the flames dancing in the Weber, which is provided, as you prepare your evening braai (barbeque).

There is numerous plains game including kudu, nyala, waterbuck, impala, duiker, zebra, wildebeest, warthog and giraffe. The game is frequently seen around the lodge or there is a game drive through the Estate. There are also leopard on the Estate which visitors may be lucky to see.

The Bushbabies is fully accessible to the mobility challenged and our one bedroom caters fully for the disabled. If you’re allergic to thatch or don’t like the debris that falls out of it, then The Bushbabies is your answer.

Although the lodge is totally seperate, your host and hostess Rod and Cathy are close at hand to attend to your requests as far as possible and to enhance your stay. Parking is available on-site.

Finally, The Bushbabies is serviced daily (except on Sundays) by our very competent House-keeper,Vivian. Laundry can be arranged.

Car rental is available at the property and the area is popular for biking. The area is popular for fishing and hiking. Phalaborwa is 46.7 km from The Bushbabies Elite Lodge. The nearest airport is Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport, 8 km from The Bushbabies Elite Lodge.
