Description

Kingfisher Creek is a charming self-catering cottage located in the Guernsey Private Nature Reserve, close to the Kruger National Park. Listen to the lions roar in the distance while you sip a gin and tonic around the fire.

This charming 2 bedroom cottage sleeps 5 comfortably but we can add an additional bed for a second child. The master bathroom contains a king-size bed, and has bath and a shower. The second bedroom contains a queen-size bed, and a single bed. The second bathroom has a shower.

The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering. The kitchen is open-plan to the lounge area. A thatched roof provides shade from the heat and ensures outdoor dining is available throughout the year.

The cottage has a private boma area with a picnic bench, built-in braai, a firepit and a seating area. The braai area looks out onto the bush where giraffe, zebra, antelope and the occasional buffalo can be seen grazing.

Continental Breakfast / Dinner can be arranged (pre booking only) for an additional cost. Tours and activites can also be arranged.

Getting around

Several of the big car rental companies in South Africa have offices in Hoedspruit. If you don't fancy driving yourself , it is no trouble to arrange a transfer / tour for you... (advance notice required as tours to the Kruger / Blyde River Canyon fill up quite quickly)

We will always have somone on the property who can assist tourist information and help with with booking excursions to the numerous tourist attractions in the area.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Annie (the owner) a message.

If Annie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
