Description

Your own private one acre retreat set in the rainforests of Janda Baik, Bukit Tinggi with fresh cool air, sound of the stream, chorus of jungle monkeys and the occasional call of the hornbill. It's where you press reset and be at peace. Just a 40 minute drive from the center of Kuala Lumpur.

Fully self-contained with 2 living areas, 4 bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms, a library and a well-equipped indoor and outdoor kitchen with full facilities, it offers a sanctuary for those craving to escape the mind numbing city sights and sounds. The living area, flanked by wide wooden verandah on the ground floor is perfect for gathering, creative exploration, yoga and meditation retreat. It is suitable for small groups of friends and families looking for a peaceful rejuvenating escape.

You can spend your hours sitting at the wooden veranda overlooking the lush greens of the rainforest floor, playing in the stream within our property grounds or feed the fish frolicking in the pond.

Eat, drink, and chill whilst submerging in the amazing rainforest view from the veranda or the open air viewing deck, where breakfast is served complimentary.

You will also find a home-made BBQ pit equipped with a sink outside. Sit outdoors, enjoy the cool night air, gaze at the stars, and savour the flavours of your very own freshly cooked barbeque. It is an activity we highly recommend you do. We provide the charcoal and BBQ equipment for your cooking needs.

The retreat is located in the tranquil gated community of Tanarimba and is only a 10 minute drive from the quaint village of Bukit Tinggi (Kampung Bukit Tinggi), famous for its fresh farm produce and restaurants. We hope our retreat will elevate your rest to a whole new level.

Due to the nature and location of the surrounding, we provide limited WiFi and mobile service.

Private or hired motor vehicles are necessary as there are no public transport serving the area. Taxi services to and from the Retreat is available with prior arrangement.

This is a holiday home used by our family, hence we may not always be there to welcome you in the house, but, we will try to drop by whenever we can during your stay. Our caretakers will welcome you in our house. They will be at your service to ensure you have a relaxed and enjoyable stay. All you need to do is ask! You can always reach us through our site. And if you have other enquiries to use the place for day-use or for specialty sessions like yoga, meditation, meetings or brainstorming sessions, please contact us.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Dorena (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
