Description

Kalkan Retreat (sleeps 8) is a contemporary, luxury, air-conditioned villa with 4 bedrooms each with it's own en-suite and three have their own private balcony. The interior is spacious and cool and has been designed to meet your every need. Outside it has its own private infinity swimming pool with extensive terraced garden areas and two barbecues (one traditional stone built and one gas).

There are sun loungers for all guests and charming shaded outdoor dining and seating areas. A table tennis table and equipment is provided as well as a Wii. The villa commands stunning uninterrupted sea and mountain views in the desirable and peaceful location of Kalamar Bay. It is only 5 minutes walk to the local beach club where you can sunbathe, swim in the clear waters of the Mediterranean, dine or enjoy the full range of water sports that are available.

The premier resort of Kalkan with its array of shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife is approximately a 15 minutes stroll or 3 minute taxi ride.

All rooms are air conditioned and there is travertine flooring throughout. The living, dining, kitchen areas are large, airy and open plan. The high spec kitchen has modern gloss units and a black granite work top. There is a water cooler and separate drinks fridge for the convenience of guests. The living area has folding back doors allowing air to circulate freely through the heat of the day.

There are four bedrooms in total, one on the ground floor and three on the first floor. Each bedroom has its own en suite and all the upstairs bedrooms have a private balcony with sea view. All the marbled bathrooms are of a very high specification. There is a separate wc on the ground floor.

There is a large travertine terrace offering panoramic views of Kalamar Bay. The villa has its own private infinity swimming pool (10m x 6m, depth 170cm) with underwater lighting and both walk in tiled steps and a metal ladder for access. There is an external shower for use before and after swimming For an additional charge the pool can be heated if requested but for the majority of the year this is not thought to be necessary. There are 8 sun loungers with 3 sun umbrellas. The walled gardens are beautifully stocked with bougainvillea and oleanders as well as various herbs and a lemon tree. The whole area is immediately adjacent to the living area and you can enjoy your own choice of music while relaxing in the pool.

The shaded dining area is the perfect place to have an al fresco supper on those long balmy, Turkish evenings. Beforehand enjoy pre-dinner drinks in one of the two comfortable seating areas. There is a brick built barbeque as well as a gas barbeque.
The swimming pool does not require to be heated during the high season but if you wish it is possible to heat if requested for an additional charge.
It is a 15 minute walk along the Kalamar Road into Kalkan and a 5 minute walk down hlll to the Kalamar Bay Beach Club. If you can tear yourself away from the peace and quiet of the villa, the beach club has the best water sports in the area, including a dive centre with a restaurant and very friendly staff. They will also pick up and return guests to the villa if requested. On the Kalamar Road there are a variety of shops, restaurants, small supermarkets and a pharmacy.

Getting around

We are situated in Kalamar Bay which is a 15 minute walk from the centre of Kalkan. We have mini supermarkets, restaurants, bars, beach clubs and spas in the immediate area. Most of our guests choose to walk into Kalkan but as the return journey is uphill the majority take a taxi when it is hot. I can arrange a rental car if you prefer.

Interaction with guest

I am always available by email or phone. I have the best maintenance company in Kalkan to manage the villa. They will always make sure that there is easy access on your arrival as long as you have provided accurate information re your journey in terms of flight details and how you will travel from the airport to the villa. I am very happy to arrange transfers for you and it is our recommended method for travelling from the airport to the villa. There is a guest book in the villa with loads of recommendations from guests of places to go, where to eat, and all the details which will ensure you have a fabulous holiday. There are also guide books and maps available.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Andrew and Pauline (the owner) a message.

If Andrew and Pauline (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
