Villa Iris is a spacious 3 bedroom villa located in a quiet part of Kalkan - ideal for a great relaxing family holiday. There is a private infinity pool on a spacious terrace and the villa has its own private garden with fruit trees.

Although the villa is not situated in the centre of the town, a 15 minute walk (or 5 minute drive by taxi) finds you in the heart of the town where there are low key bars, excellent restaurants, and numerous speciality shops to browse in - selling crafts, clothes and leather goods to name but a few. Many historical sites and superb beaches are within easy reach of Kalkan, making it an ideal holiday destination.

Villa Iris has air conditioning in every room and a well equipped kitchen including kettle, toaster, microwave, electric filter coffee maker, cafetiere, tea pot, as well as plenty of glasses and crockery- everything you need for a relaxing holiday. There is also a small gas BBQ outside in the garden area, if required.

The bedrooms all have en-suite shower rooms, with a jacuzzi bath in the en-suite of the upper terrace bedroom. Bathroom towels are provided but not beach towels.

As well as a digital TV with Turkish satellite channels, a DVD player, a bluetooth speaker for playing music and small CD player/radio, there is a library of books and a small selection of DVDs, as well as a few board games.

Getting around

As Villa Iris overlooks Kalkan Bay, situated on the hillside in Kiziltas, a car is not necessarily needed if there are no mobility issues and people are happy to walk into the centre of Kalkan. The journey back to the villa is up quite a steep incline, so most people catch a taxi back., fares being quite cheap. Taxis can also pick up guests from the villa and a telephone number is usually provided in the villa.Trips can be organised by the car hire/travel firms or taxis can be hired for specific destinations. A dolmus service runs from the bus station or the D400 (depending upon the time of year) and Kas, Patara, and Kaputas can be easily reached. There is a regular bus service to Fethiye, and further afield, from the bus station.

Interaction with guest

On arrival at the villa you will be met by one of our representatives, who will show you around the villa, give you the keys and answer any questions. A welcome pack of some essentials e.g. bread, tea, butter, etc. awaits you on arrival. The garden and pool are tended to every day. Therefore, someone will always be around to help, if needed. The villa manager can be contacted by phone and the owners can be contacted by phone or email throughout your stay. Any problems are dealt with as swiftly as possible, to ensure a relaxing stay at Villa Iris.

What a view of the bay. What a delightful villa, so clean and comfortable and as for the garden and pool which was cleaned every day even though we arrived about 11.30 pm we were met at the villa by Nehmet who introduced us to the villa. . So relaxing that we have booked for next year. Looking forward to a sunset G and T around the pool again.

We had an absolutely fabulous fortnight in the beautiful Villa Iris. It's a real home from home, a place to live and be comfortable, not just to stay. It is a modern, open plan villa with absolutely stunning views over Kalkan bay. The villa is furnished to a very high standard, lots of space, with a kitchen that is a pleasure to cook in. There is also a great outdoor living area - table for six under shade complete with barbecue.Then there is the infinity pool - with views to die for. The pool is cleaned daily as is the outdoor space. The pool can be illuminated at night, as can the whole outside area if so wish, which is really good after a long night in Kalkan.We felt the owners were exceptionally helpful & always available on the phone for pre holiday enquires. Cannot wait to return.

OK, so we'll get the one negative about this place out of the way, that is that you will need a car if you want to 'nip' anywhere. BUT that isn't an issue and will be the same with most villas. Fact of the matter is that Kalkan has boomed and they have had to go up the hill to build. As for the villa. It's a really nicely laid out place with a good level of fittings etc. We went with another couple and spent most of our days by the pool and then by the harbour in the evenings. The pool is the highlight for me, a great infinity pool, cleaned daily (as is the garden) and you will really appreciate this when it's 40degrees! There were 4 adults on the stay and there was plenty of room. The villa is very well equipped and there was even a welcome pack there upon our arrival. I'd happily recommend Villa Iris and I'm a bit of a snob!

We stayed at Villa Iris for a week with our 5 months old baby. The owner has been very helpful in giving us information and arranging car rentals etc. The villa itself was very well furnished and very spacious. The infinity swimming pool is also great and has an amazing view (I don't think photos do justice!). The location of the villa is fairly close to the town but it is very hilly so we used our rental car most days. The villa is in a nice neighbourhood and we felt safe the whole time. If we come back to Kalkan, we will definitely be staying at the villa.

This was our second stay at Villa Iris. The owner arranged our transfers and her agents in Kalkan ensured this loverly property was in first class order during our stay. The villa is some way up the hill but do not let this put you off as you will rewarded by the best view in Kalkan. Taxi's are very cheap. We would recommend that you use the one recommended by the owner who was prompt and courteous. Kalkan provided an excellent mix of facilities so all members or our party were happy. (Age range from 21 to 54) . The only problem with giving a good review is someone else may book his property when we next want it!

We had a fantastic time staying at Villa Iris. It was everything that Huw and Sharon promised it would be and more. The views are stunning, the villa is large, clean and really well presented. We have had a few villa holidays before and this was the best villa by far. The pool is where the kids spent most of their time and it is ideal for a family. Patara beach is amazing and one of the best we've ever been lucky enough to visit. It does get busy near the cafe during the day but later in the afternoon, or slightly away from the cafe, there is miles of space and shallow safe swimming. Kalkan itself is a wonderful town with over 200 restaurants. We ate mostly by the harbour where the views are lovely. We found every restaurant to be friendly and the food good.

This was our third stay in Kalkan and by far the nicest villa. Very clean and comfortable with everything provided to make an enjoyable stay. The views over Kalkan bay are fantastic and to the back of the villa there are wonderful views of the mountains. Nehat and Tarik are extremely helpful and nice. We had high expectations for our stay at Villa Iris. We certainly were not disappointed. The villa was stunning and the the view of the bay at Kalkan was oustanding. Sharon and Huw Morgan went well beyond what you would expect from owners of a holiday property and arranged our transfers and provided recommendations for car hire etc. The property was well managed during our stay and help was at hand for the odd mishap. My son came off a quad bike and injured himself. Quite by chance Tarik the property manager found out and attended the property with a doctor in tow which saved us a lot of hasstle in seeking medical help. Kalkan is an excellent destination with good restaurants and lots to do all at reasonable prices. It also had enough to keep my 20 year old son and 21 year old daughter happy.

This was our 3rd trip to Kalkan and we loved it just as much as the first time. Villa Iris was perfect for us in every way and the best accomodation we have had in Kalkan - quiet location with a 15 minute walk down to the town, wonderful views with sunshine all day, the infinity pool was spotless and cleaned every da,. Of the 2 weeks we had a few BBQ nights on the terrace and when we went into Kalkan we walked down the hill and used a taxi back (about £4 or £5) The team that look after the villa couldn't have been more helpful and were always there to help with anything. Few of our favourite places to eat - Belgin's Kitchen, Gourmet and Seaport which did an amazing fish in salt dish. Worth a trip to the village of Islamlar about 2 miles up into the hills, fresh trout at Bodamya was lovely and great price. Thank you to Huw and Sharon for letting us holiday in their villa.

How do damage deposits work?
